Flowers and inspiration needed pls!

nicnol, 10 May, 2011 at 16:13 Posted on Planning 0 7

I've recently been having a break from wedding activities other than making the last of my invites to send out when i received a text from my florist to remind me of our appt tomorrow evening.....aaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

Cue mild panic as I haven't a clue what I want inc colours!

This is my current mood board

The colour of BM's dresses is this though now

[View:https://www.hitched.co.uk/Chat/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Discussions.Components.Files/27/5516.colour.pdf:550:0]

The BM's dress is a taffeta and the colour is pink and blue threads to give the purple effect (prob not selling it very well at the moment!)

So I just don't know what to do.....I'm a bit apprehensive of just having purple/ivory flowers and fancy injecting some colour into by using flowers. I like the shape of this for myself but don't want lillies (been married before and them in 1st bouquet!)

anyone have any ideas for me?!

How about hot pink gerbera instead of lilly???? and i would keep to the colour scheme of that hand tied on your mood board personnally with those shades of pinks and purples

I would keep some kind of purple to reflect the colours in the dresses but use a Cerise as the dominant colour to lift it. Maybe using something like:

    Anemones

Dendrobium Orchids, Lisianthus, Roses & Ivy

    A mixture of Sweet Peas

I think these carnations which are a cheap alternative look fab

Here's a few pinky purpley ones I've done for you (sorry, first one has lilies in!)

All these are artificial flowers but you could do similar in fresh.

Just wanted to say met with florist last night and it was very succesful and any qualms I had about what flowers to have are gone!

My colours are inspired by this bouquet I found and my bouquet is going to be similar but more open so it has a rustic/country feel to it. I'm not having ivy either I'm now having eucalyptus (sp?) leaves aswell.

I can't wait to see it all together as my table centrepieces are going to look amazing! Roll on October!! I think I am now more excited at the flowers than anything else haha!
