1Lucie, 12 January, 2010 at 13:47 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi

I'm hoping someone can assist me in telling me how the following would cost roughly? Also which style suits my venue best?

1)

OR

2)

I feel as though the top one is more modern and contempory with gerberas? My venue is old and tradional........

Also how much would table centre pieces roughly cost like this?

Or any suggestions welcomed! I like hot pink, ivory and green follage......

Thanks

xx

I wouldn't worry too much about your bouquet not matching your venue... I'm having gerberas (both in my bouquet and as the table decorations - single stems in vases) and my venue is from the 1800's... ?

Can't help on prices i'm afriad. My plain gerbera bouquet was quoted at £50

Oooo, very much a question of where you live and which florist you use etc. Gerberas are a cheaper option in fresh than roses - an approximate ball park figure for a hand-tied bridal bouquet is £45-65 - the one in the photo looks quite compact ie. lots of flowers used. The table centrepieces really depend on whether the vases are provided by the venue, hired from the florist or bought by yourself? I think, and again this depends on where you are in the country as prices are higher in the South of the country than the North, you would probably be looking at around £45-£75 each for the flower arrangements plus the cost of hiring or buying the candelabras/vases. Gerberas will work in your venue as good as any other flowers. Hope that helps!

The gerberas are modern, contemporary flowers and will definitely look good at your venue - if you bounce for Georgie at ByGeorge, she is down South (I'm in the North LOL!) she may be able to give you a closer figure based on the costs of fresh flowers in that part of the country. The main reason for the difference in costs is due to overheads etc. Rents for shops, rates etc are higher in the South than in the central and north of the country.

    Thanks Brenda!

I think the prices you suggest sound about right, although obviously it will vary from florist to florist, and season etc. Lovely ideas though, and I think gerbera's work well in any setting.
