Flowers instead of a tiara for Kate

3d jewellery, 18 April, 2011 at 16:51 Posted on Planning 0 16

Is what I read yesterday , in the style of Queen Victorias bridal wreath. Mind that is what Fergie did but had a tiara underneath. the flowers came off afer the ceremony to show the transition from commoner to royalty. The hotel room in the Goring has a reproduction of Victoria's dress and flower garland on the wall in a glass case. Any clues there?

I think that flower wreath sounds a great idea and I'm toying with the idea myself.. I have quite a large oddly-shaped head and feel quite self-conscious in a tiara. I'm not sure who would do them though or how much they would cost?

That would be different. Didn't Diana's Bridesmaids have them?

I can imagine her wearing something like Mrs C wore in a different flower but just can't imagine a flower circlet. Really looking forward to seeing everything now, didn't think I'd be that excited! You never know I might get a last minute order at the weekend from a Kate for a side tiara ?

I don't like them, everyone i've ever seen has made the brides/bridesmaids head look weird.

I think they are very dated to be honest & don't like them. I prefer to see flowers in the hair . They remind me of a funeral wresth on the Brides head!

Dated is the right word....I think there is a very fine line between vintage and naff!

Yeah, I had a circlet when I was BM in 1983, again in 1988, and them made my BMs have them first time round in 1997.

I have learnt my lesson - my girlie BM will be having a dainty feather and diamante fascinator, the boy will be forced in to having a proper haircut and some gel...

Mind you, I still think they look cute on little flower girls, expecially when they get a bit wonky!

Fergies attempt looked awful. I dont think there is anyway Kate will go for a flower circlet myself. I think it will be a sparkly tiara
