Fly or not to fly

jonicko, 5 February, 2009 at 16:14 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

We're due to fly to Sweden from Birmingham tomorrow lunchtime - need to be in Birmingham by 9ish to park car and check in.

Because of the weather we want to give ourselves about two hours instead of the normal hour to get there.

Thing is the A14 has been closed all day today because there has been an accident at Catthorpe and therefore it hasn't been gritted. Do we wait for it to be reopened and then just go and wait at Birmingham or do I give up on this weekend away as a dead loss because we would have to dig the car out as we have about 8 inches of snow outside!

All becuase I wanted to see snow for my birthday! We won't lose out on accommodation just the £56 we paid for the flights - I just can't make up my mind!
