FND's where are you?

Sunset21, 12 June, 2009 at 20:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 16

I'm here, MrSun has gone to Cardiff to see Oasis - he has to make the last train at about 11.20pm or he's stuck there for the night - what's the betting they miss it? I'm going to try really hard to get to sleep later and not think about it or worry about it.

I've got a glass of red, some sainsburys kettle chips and i'm waiting for BB. I'm hoping to wrap some pressies for my friends new baby when MissSun is asleep, otherwise she'll be calling to help when she hears the sellotape lol!

No, it's on sky+, I had to drop MrSun off at the station at 2 so he didn't get chance to watch it. Friday and Monday are the best ones.

Are you watching Corrie? What on earth has Rosie Webster done to her hair?

    Evening!

I'm a WW (Whole Weekend) Dullard this week, as I'm in mourning at the fact I am currently missing Download Festival. Moving house meant I didn't have the finances for it this year (and Mr Majix couldn't be coaxed into funding it!). So I'm watching the webcam with some Koppaberg and a bag of ice - at least being at home means avoiding warm festival drinks.

I've never been to a festival, i'm boring, I just don't fancy it.

Is the new house nice though?

New house is definitely worth it - although getting both would have been nice ?

I didn't think festivals were for me until I went and now I HATE not going. Only been to Download though, Glastonbury etc are not really my cup of tea ?

I know a couple of ppl who saw Oasis in Manchester last week, said it was amazing.

How funny majix, I was just about to come on and say that if anyone has friends at Download they can kiss goodbye to their hearing. As the crow flies, we are 3 miles away and although I can't hear the vocals I can hear the bass and even the individual drum beats. It's Faith No More on now, is it not? (I got that from the programme rather than from the music I hasten to add).

I've just read that back and realise I sound ancient ?. I'm not moaning about the noise, I actually love living near Donington, just hope the Grand Prix makes it.

I'm guessing so............ it's supposed to be harder than spin but I'm not yet sure what the difference is. I fancy doing a class where you feel really knackered afterwards so I'm going to give it a bash. Won't stress my knees out too much either (hopefully)

From what i've seen of the areas surrounding Donnington it's lovely ? and the immediate village area are unbelievably accomodating of all the hairy drunken tattooed ppl stumbling round for the beest part of a week ?

It was all v. civilised and good natured in Castle Donington when I drove through this morning. Lots of rockers eating their breakfast in beer gardens and queuing politely for the cob shop. I doubt there's much of that at the front of the stage right now ?. I've got the windows open and it's much clearer than last year, either the wind's different or it's louder. The baby's not too impressed though, I don't think she's going to be a rocker.

Poor baby lune ? - we used to get much the same thing from mini majix when he was a tiny nipper and Creamfields was still in liverpool; he used to grump something chronic for the whole day / night. At 'big boy 5' now though he was watching the webcast with me earlier and said he "can't wait to go to the download vegetable when he grows up" ?

Hullo - i'm here a bit too. MrS is softly clicking around on his laptop so i've decided to do likewise.

You know what, I've never been to a festival either - i do wonder if it's one of those things i'll regret not doing. Not really a gig person, but i think the atmosphere at a big fest like glasto would be fab. MrStaf is *not* a festival fan so i'd probably have to go sans OH.
