For those having children at their wedding reception

Please please please don't put the highchair ins the corner of the room. If you can, the tables nearest the doors are a fab idea.

I just went to a wonderful wedding yesterday with my 2 yr old and 4 mth od baby. The baby was freaked out by a the noise so i had to take him out frequenttly but was trapped in the corner. Everytime I had to go out, 3 people had to let me out, so I ended up missing a lot of the food just because I didn't want to keep bothering them. Surprisingly my 2 year old was fine but every other child needed to get up and stretch their legs away from the table regularly too.

Your guests with young children will thank you (or at not curse you)

What a strange thing to do putting the highchairs in a corner? Maybe they thought it would be less akward for people to get out around them? We will be having I think 6 children who need highchairs at the wedding ? if the venue has enough high chairs that is! So in all likelihood there will be a highchair at every table (including the top table as T will be in hers at the top table). But our tables are round and all sort of in the middle of a room so nobody should be blocked in at all.

Which I think would remove the problem you had?

Also I'm a bit shocked by all of the children of 2 or under who will be there now I've counted up! two 2year olds, three 22month olds and a 19month old! The ceremony is either going to be very noisy or there will be lots of babies outside the church ?. And that's not including the 3 year old who will be there too.
