Wow that's expensive for what you actually get! but then again what would you expect from F&M

    I would love it though!

I THINK IT DEPENDS ON WHO THEY ARE. pERSONALLY i'M NOT A HUGE f&m FAN - TAT FOR TOURSISTS AND PEOPLE WITH MORE MONEY THAN TASTE IMO. Gah, caps lock, sorry ? However, if they're not from London and/or don't get to have "special" stuff often I'm sure they'd be thrilled.

Waaaah Sophie, we are from the sticks though!!

I know that it is a lot of money for what it is, but just thought that it was a nice gift.

Do you have another recommendations please?

I'm not back tracking just because of what Sophiem said, honest...

But I agree that F&M are overpriced and I'm sure you could make a much better hamper yourself.

I am just a sucker for jars in nice packaging!

Sorry Timotei, I never replied to you before.

I just wanted something a bit different for them, mind you at £7 postage, I might change my mind

No, not really, they enjoy food things, so I was just looking at Hampers, I might have a look locally.

    Thanks for your help

Check out www.daylesfordorganic.com - they do a dinner for 2 for 15 quid including a starter, a Pheasant, cheese and wine.

    Looks lovely.

I second Daylesford - they do lovely hampers and you can make up your own.

Thanks both, I have had a look at that and at http://www.hampersgretnagreen.co.uk/ but its a bit close to home for me.

I am loving that site though, I think that they would really appreciate it

I recently ordered from Spicers of Hythe as I thought they were well priced compared to F & M, Harrods, Selfridges etc. and had things my parents would actually use rather than any old tat in a branded box (hello, Harrods ?)

I should be taking delivery on Monday and can let you know how it looks upon arrival if you like.

Please do, I just think that they would love a hamper and want to get them something this year that they would not buy themselves.

No problem- I will let you know. I was the same with my mum and dad- I know they will love a hamper, but finding the right one was a headache! Still, H and I like the one we have ordered, so if it's not quite right for the parents..............?
