Glad to see i am not the only one then, although we havent actually booked anything as yet, have got to go and see church and book that tho, or our date will be gone, and i dont want to loose it. Still deciding on a venue, and gettin ideas for other things.

We are hoping to marry at loversall church, still looking at reception venues, been looking at bridesmaids dresses, have 4 or 5 adults and 2 litlle flower girls and 2 page boys....trying to find a style to suit all bridesmaids will be fun!!

We are getting married at Carlton Towers.

We are in the Barnsley/Sheffield area so we looked all over S.Yorks for venues. There are some really lovely places in Doncaster.

How far have you all got with your planning so far? Have you had many hurdles yet? We've managed to provisionally book the registrar and have booked (and paid for) our reception venue (eek!) and this weekend we managed to buy 10 fish bowls for our centrepieces cause they were on offer

Has anyone had trouble with getting their friends interested? I'm only having 2 bridesmaids and one is great and been chatting loads about the wedding plans but the other (my chief bridesmaid) doesn't seem interested at all!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing tips

I am a 2012 bride. going to look at a venue next week which I have seen on internet and fallen in love with. The first venue I liked was completely booked up for 2012 so I paniced slightly but realise now that its just a hugely popular venue and there are others out there that are lovely.

I am struggling with deciding on numbers and feeling guilty as my dad has offered to pay for some of it and its hugely expensive! But he wouldn't have offered if he didn't want to!

I think once the venue is booked and registrar sorted I will be able to enjoy the frilly bits!

Everyone is so far ahead of me in the bookings stages, really need to get moving on the church and venue as scared they wil be gone for our date.

I'm Sarah......had a look at loversall church, from the outside, got to go on a thursday to wadworth church to speak to the vicar and arrange a look inside, but it looks nice and quiet and small, which is perfect for us. Also going to look at Holiday Inn (moat house) for reception and also clumber park hotel, neat clumber park, they are the only 2 we have found that dont have set menues, as we dont agree with no giving guest a choice.

Once they are booked, i can concentrate on bridesmaids outfits, as want purple and silver as the colour theme, but struggling to find dresses that will suit the adult bridesmaids.

Also been looking at wedding cars and know who is doing the photographs.
