Freaking about my hen do

Pockers, 2 January, 2012 at 16:07 Posted on Planning 0 3

Over the festive period I got together with a lot of my friends on various nights out. I have a lot of different pockets of friends that I have met and stayed in contact over the years and a handful of very good friends. Well I wasn't really sure what sort of hen do I wanted when we first got engaged and got swept up in everyone's excitement and now I feel it has got out of hand. I could tell they were all cooking up awful idea's for me for the hen do when I met up with them and now I am pooping my pants. We have rented out a big manor house in Bath that holds 32 people. I have now got 29 girls coming, not all of them know each other, I hope they will all get on but Now I am really freaking out though and I don't know why. It doesn't help that I can't handle my alcohol and suffer from the worst hangovers. I am now wondering if I could think of an excuse to cancel and just go away with my small group of friends!!?

Have you got a couple of your good friends you can talk to about your concerns - maybe they can get in on the plans and vet them. Maybe also you or your friends to sort out some more social games to involve everyone in getting to know each other spirit, brings the focus around to the group rather than things for you.

I often find the hype is worse than anything they will actually do, so I wouldn't worry to much - I am guilty of telling my friend I am MOH for next year that their will be lots of penis related stuff at hers because she hates it, I thought she knew I was joking now I am not so sure Smiley smile

With regards to people getting on - they're all adults so I wouldn't worry about that. I would hope they would think enough of you to be on their best behaviour even if everyone isn't 100% to their tastes!

With regards to worrying about what the plans are I would talk to the people involved and tell them straight what you are and aren't comfortable with.

My friends know me pretty well but I've still stressed I don't want to be dressed up like a whore and paraded round with a penis on my head and I'm sure they'll respect this. They have plans that I don't know about but I'm not really worried about them as I know they're more likely to be nice surprises than embarrassing ones.

Thanks ladies. I think it will be fine and I am no prude but I think that is worse as they will probably think I will be up for anything ha ha!! Nothing can be that bad anyway surely.. Just panicking as that's a lot of girls let loose for the weekend it could get messy lol The manor house is split into 2 seperate annexes anyway so I will just make sure all the raucous girls are together in one part and away from me ha ha!!

What could be a more romantic wedding theme than celebrating long-lasting love? This theme can be both incredibly sentimental and funny. You can incorporate it in almost every part of your wedding in a meaningful way. Getting ideas from www.eastbridal.com
