That's VERY bad! lol

Mine....

GOOD: OH finally decided that he can spare four days, so we can go "home" for Chrsitmas...yippeee!

BAD: I have a 7,000 word essay to do and have barely scratched the surface. (Due in a week)

GOOD: I have started burning my Christmassy scented Body Shop oils and the smells are making me feel very festive!

BAD: I have to do uni work ALL weekend because I have a competition hand-in on Tuesday and have no work for it!

GOOD: We only have OH's Dad to buy for as we've got all (and I've already wrapped) all the other presents!

BAD: OH's Dad is a NIGHTMARE to buy for! He doesn't really drink, only likes certain music, (read only Fleetwood Mac and bizarrely enough, Erasure!!!) he isn't a foodie and he would never use smellies. Any suggestions?! ?

Ohie I did my dissertation in a week 8000 words, so you'll be fine me love.

In terms of OH dad... DVDs or clothes? check out Firebox.com! Excellent site for quirky gifts, suits all budgets too...

GOOD - going for my first Xmas lunch today with the girls I used to work with

GOOD - probably getting to go home or shopping afterwards but don't need to go back to work

GOOD - its Friday!!!!!!!!

Think thats it really - don't have plans for the weekend yet so I guess thats good too???

Good - getting to finish at 4 again today (I have a lovely boss who doesn't want me in the office on my own as it's dark so is letting me finish when the other person in my office finishes - yay!)

Good - we have a cake lady coming round tonight with samples, yum! We were just going to go with an M&S cake as they all seem so expensive but she seems v reasonable and it's a good excuse to eat cake!

Good - not much planned for the weekend, so I can have a lay in.

Bad - I have an audit exam on Wed which requires a huge amount of revision from me over the next 4 days (again, said lovely boss has given me Mon and Tues off as revision!)

GOOD: I'm trying on dresses this weekend - Wooooooooooo!!!! My Mam is down today and a full day of dress shopping

GOOD: Bridesmaid is coming tomorrow too to try some dress on - another woooooo!!

BAD: Pregnant bridesmaid isn't coming tomorrow as now has other plans - naughty her! (though since she's due to drop 2 weeks before the wedding - she may not be there anyway so other BM gets to do all the choosing)

BAD: Marvin (our car) failed his MOT yesterday ☹️

GOOD: Repair jobs plus cost only came to £200 - could be worse!

GOOD: D helped me with the budget spreadsheets last night and made it much easier to manage

GOOD: We've decided to scrap the evening list and have only a day list for the wedding - one big party ?

BAD: I've done zero work today... ooops!

Just had a look on there (thanks for the link) and there are some really cool things, but I'm not sure that OH's Dad will appreciate them.....OH said to just get him a B&Q voucher, but I prefer giving a gift, plus I can't exactly just give a £20 voucher and I can't really afford much more!

Good - Girlies coming round for dinner and drinks tonight

Good - Shopping in Edinburgh tomorrow and a we walk round the German Market. (That should be me finished with gift shopping)

Good - My flat is spotless as OH had a few days off this week and did a bit tidying so nothing to be done

No badness from me this week Woop woop!

GOOD: It's Friiiiiiidaaaay!!!

GOOD: Will be putting up all our christmas decs and writing cards this weekend (with wine and a Christmas movie)

GOOD: Have already bought and wrapped all our presents

GOOD: OHs brother and his fiancee are coming up this weekend so will have a trip to the cinema

BAD: Promised I would help my sister revise for her Chemistry GCSE exam on Monday which means I miss Sunday lunch at OHs mums

BAD: Have loads of housework and ironing to do after our holiday last week which I havent had chance to do

GOOD: It's 21 days until Christmas

GOOD: My boss sent me out shopping yesterday so we now have a lovely festive office!!

Good - We have brought the wedding forward

Bad - Ive got 3 months to bring it together

Good - I'm no longer panicking about giving birth in my dress

Bad - Now has matching novelty tattoos (piglet better be early!!)

Good - Its sunny!

GOOD: our designers are taking us out for lunch today at work, so as we're their clients, we get a little bit spoiled ?

BAD: have decided to go Xmas shopping after work tonight, which always gives me a headache - and clearly I would so much rather be in the pub

GOOD: I do have a gift card to spend left over from my birthday, so can put that to good use tonight ?

GOOD: got quite a fun-filled week next week with xmas lunches and parties, etc

BAD: weight loss has been non-existent since my holiday, I'm feeling enormously lardy and the above will not help this!

GOOD: meeting up with some girls for drinks tomorrow night, should be fun

God - I must make him sound so un-cultured, but he doesn't really like anything that is giftable! He has a classic Lotus, so for years we bought him Lotus-y things, but he has everything now! lol

...Although, I think I've pretty much decided (since writing my woes) that I'm going to buy a big IKEA kilner jar, then fill it with retro sweets (he likes sweets!) Is that being too much of a cheapskate. I need something else for him too!...I've bought OH's Mum some Kit Heath earrings!!! ?

GOOD - it's Friday

GOOD - I'm feeling much better after having this sickness bug so I'll hopefully have a better weekend than last!

GOOD - H is out tonight so I've got the evening to myself.

BAD - I have to pick H up and it'll be really late and I need my sleeeeeeep.

GOOD - hopefully put the tree up tomorrow.

GOOD - we're out at H's friend's 30th birthday party tomorrow night.

I was going to suggest sweets (OH dad and mine never say no to thier favourites).

Maybe way off the mark here but if your OH suggested Band Q voucher

what about DIY or gardening book or an asscoiated accessory (depending on why he likes B and Q eg spirt leve (swanky laser one) if DIY is his thing or garden gloves new garden tools if the garden is his preference.

If he has the lotues why not get a meal out voucher somewhere he and his wife like to go to in the car,

other suggestions for difficult male relations

lovely wooden things (bowls lamps etc, these have gone down well with uncles and my dad in the past they are apparently all obsessed with wood work).

cufflinks (if wear shirts)

a ticket to a concert or play (Dad was sent to welsh male voice choir last year made him very happy).

I have also found IOU voucher have gown down well in the past is there a job OH's dsd hates? painting windows, clearing gutters, washing the car etc??

If so write him an IOU voucer promising you and your OH will do that task for him this year

I know! Do consider myself very lucky as previous bosses have all been eejits but this one's not bad! Ha!

Bad; the electrics been off and it was ages before I could get a cuppa.

Good; my cars been fixed at the garage.

Bad; I'm gonna be paying out about £400 for my two cars work I think!

Good; I met my senior boss for the first time today and think I might have made a wee impression and I'm hoping this will mean good work news in the new year.

Good; I'm going on a christmas night out tonight! I get to dress up and put slap on and everything!

GOOD: For the first time this year, we have a free w-end, so going to do absolutely NOTHING!

Good: Had a fabby day at work, the children were rehearsing for their nativity and i also got 'decorated' in handmade stickers and pictures by the children i love it!!!!

Bad: It took me almost 2 hours to do a 45 min journey home, i did have to stop to drop off the courtesy car and pick up mine but that was no more than 5 min

Good: H2B and i have decided to treat ourselves to a take out tonight

Bad: I cant decide what to have!

Good: When i eventualy got home from work, the boys were in good spirits and Justin was ready for football practice

Bad: Tomorrow is Saturday and i have to work a nightshift! maybe i will write out our christmas cards!

Good: The boys are going to their dads on Sunday so H2B and I will take the time to do NOTHING!!! X

Well I've never done this thread before; but I thought sod it - why not!

Bad: I got made redundant this week & had to leave the best job in the world on Monday. There were lots of tears.

Good: I've not sat on my bum & I start a Christmas temp job next week.

Bad: Because it's Christmas temp I have to work all of December. So where I was hoping to have Christmas & New Year off - it aint' gonna happen! Boo!

Good: I'm 30 tomorrow & am having a big party!

Good: I have 250 friends & family coming to join me on the dancefloor & I hope it's going to be wicked!

Bad: Was hoping to lose a stone for the party - but about 3lb is all I managed! Opps!

Good: I have a gorgeous dress; nails done & hair tomorrow!

Good: I have 2 advent calendars!

Oh there are sooooooo many goods at the moment! One cracker of a bad about work, but other than that it's all good! :-)
