Friday night dullards

Cosmopolitan, 13 February, 2009 at 19:16 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 22

So whats everyone up to? I'm hitching whilst OH is cooking dinner, plan to drinks lots of wine and watch Gordon Ramsay and Jonathon Ross.

Not very exciting but I'm loving it as this week has been hideously busy.

Please tell me I'm not the only saddo!

I've just cleared out my kitchen because it's being re-tiled tomorrow, which means I can't cook in it at the moment.

Oh dear, what a shame, we'll have to have a takeaway....

Evening - I am even more of a saddo: I'm still at the office <yawn>. Hoping to not have too much work to do over the weekend though.

    Wine sounds good.

I am sitting on the sofa doing some work and wearing my new Soap & Glory face mask while Mr S makes me some Friday night fat food (pizza, chips and beans) which I will eat while watching the Come Dine With Me from earlier tonight. Life is good.

Then later I'll be watching WWE Smackdown like the geek I am.

Trashy TV and most likely wine for me. Although I have to finish off some work, which I should do before the wine...

Watching last night's Sky+ programmes (ER & Grey's Anatomy), having a Chinese takeaway and then an early night, given that I had about 1.5hours sleep last night <yawn>

Ooh, also planning what to do next week as its half term and H is off so we'll hopefully get some nice time together which is desperately needed at the moment.

We have just finished chicken kievs and potato wedges, and are watching Coronation street. I have wine open already.

Currently watching the Ireland/Scotland A game, drinking cheap vod. And lamenting the fact that I was supposed to be on bloody holiday this weekend.

I think i may be THE most boring FND ever. I am hitching, surfing t'web and doing random bits of work. MrF is watching some wildlife doc on his laptop. we made roast veggies with hummous and salad for dinner, ate about half each and couldn't finish anymore. we both feel ill and knackered.

    rock and rolllll.

H is downstairs sorting the diner out and i'm here doing a bit of hitching but mainly watching the Tonight programme and feeling desparately sorry for the people who have suffered and lost so much in Australia, it's just awful. ? Tomorrow i'm going into town to make a donation to the appeal that the Red Cross are starting over here to give assistance in the area.

I am brooding and drinking wine. Had a bit of a set to with H over the phone earlier because a) he hadn't bought bread in 2 days-this is unacceptable because I am a hybrid Italian and neeeeed it! b) He was 2-10 shift today and 8-4 yesterday so had time to pick some up (I was in Court all day from 9-6 from Wed) c) he had failed to make a restaurant booking for one of my fave restaurants for tomorrow until too late-now flly booked, as is every other decent one! he offered to cook, but his culinary skills are *ahem* limited to say the least. He cites "ealing with gang warfare in Croydon" as mitigation for the above failings......pah!

I have been out with H's work for a bit but now at home catching up on Hustle and CSI with a pizza. Slightly peeved at the Dominos man who came in his car but refused to walk along our landing because the lights are out and "it's dangerous for him". I can see the reasoning behind it but I have to walk along there to get home and he seemed unable to walk from the end of the block where his car was parked to my balcony door with the food and had to drive the 50 metres and then drive up on to the pavement to give me the food.

Yes I'm in a stinking mood and him being an idiot appears to have been the final straw tonight. And I've still got H rolling home steaming drunk at god knows what time to deal with. Oh joy.

    Hi, can I join in?

I'm just on my second glass of rose wine and had good meal of fahitas which were lovely. Had a crappy day at work so I've been looking forward to wine since about 10 am this morning! Watching Gordon as well of course.

Just wanted to say thanks Dooby - that means a lot. Quite a few of my old school mates have lost homes and every penny helps. ?

Me: been out to a work leaving do, two glasses of white + one rose = quite fussy headed.

H has bought me a heyoooge and bewdiful bunch of flowers for V-day and I am just contemplating which vase to squeeze them in to. Wanna see?

Well, have been on my own all evening (washing up, making some phonecalls etc.) Mr Orly has just arrived home an hour early. So, instead of us curling up on the sofa together and starting the Valentines weekend early, he's disappeared into the spare room to play computer games, about ten minutes after he got into the flat. I'll carry on washing and tidying up, then. ☹️
