FSIL invited 12 year old niece to Hen do - WTF???!!!!

Chickster, 31 January, 2013 at 10:01 Posted on Planning 0 6

Just when I thought I'd heard it all from the future in-laws - my FSIL said she had spoken to my 12 niece and said she could come on my hen do because she "thought it would be nice"

What the f***??!!!!!

The two BMs organising my hen do are quite frankly a bit naughty, and I know that apart from consuming an obscene amount of alcohol, there will be some ritualistic humiliation involving a lot of rude language and dirty games - FSIL knows this so why on EARTH did she think it would be A) appropriate and B) a good idea for my niece to come on an adult hen do???

Needless to say after picking my gobsmacked jaw off the ground, I replied with a big fat resounding NO!

Anyone else had any other tw*tty requests like this??!

I'm really sorry but I laughed when I read your title. Your hen do sounds like mine will be, absolutely not appropriate for a 12 year old! I bet the poor girl would be mortified too.

My sister is 12 and she is a bridemaid at my wedding. My MOH is planning my hen party...so the usual like a night out, lots of alcohol ect. But she suggested it would be nice to involve my sister so were having 2 hen parties. Maybe like me you could have 2?

I am already having two hen do's - another one for my mum and aunties, but 12 year old nieces are still not invited as it will still involve loads of alcohol and a slight bit of (not so filthy) humiliation on my part, courtesy of the aforementioned bridesmaids....

I'm taking my two 12 year old BM's to have their nails done etc so that kind of covers it.

If it was me, id just let her come and carry on as normal, your FSIL is going to have to 'babysit' her all night and she'll be the one that regrets it lol.

Or as suggested above, have two. Thats what im doing, have a night out with the girls and then going out for a meal with older/younger family so everyones happy! xx

That is daft, especially if you are going out pubbing etc she wouldn't actually be able to come- imagine her getting asked for I.D haha.

I think it'll be sweet to have a little girlie time with them and like you say more than covers it!

I'm quite lucky all my future neices and nephews are between 1-5 lol.

But feel sorry for you as its common sense not to being a 12 year old on a night out lol. Shame some people don't have much common sense lol.
