Has anyone used Function Central to book a band?

I've been in touch with them but feeling very suspicious since I can't find the band I liked anywhere else (website, social media, etc) and they also seem to have lots of 5 star reviews,which doesn't seem very realistic.

Hi Camila,

Nearly all agencies have an agreement with a band to use a specific band name for that agency. This means that you don't then get a facebook, website etc but all the info is with the agency.

5 star reviews can be realistic though!

James is correct - many times agencies will use pseudonyms for artists to prevent visitors finding their contact details and dealing with acts directly - which I suppose is understandable.

Just for info a bit of self promotion is that Entertainers Worldwide freely offer contact details and do not charge agency fees or commissions - you can find a band and deal with them directly to make a booking - please feel free to take a look a the wedding and function bands listed on the website.
