Garters

Chez2k, 26 July, 2010 at 12:32 Posted on Planning 0 22

Hi Peeps,

Can I have your recommendations for people/websites who make Garters please?! I am trying to find one that I like. Don't like the fluffy frilly ones.

Thanks

Cheryl

Ooh didnt even know people made them so can't help there, sorry!

Mine is from la senza, pretty but quite standard so may be a bit lacy/frilly for you? It was £4.50 with a little blue ribbon

Thanks for replying lamby. I'm going to have a look at La Senza. That sounds like good price and at least I'll be able to see what I'm buying before I get it.

    Thanks :-)

Aww.. I shall have a look now!

I saw a garter I liked in Hobbycraft of all places!! It was a real garter and a smaller "throw" garter if anyone wants to do the traditional garter throwing thing.

My very favourite ones are from here https://www.libertyinlove.co.uk/lingerie-garters/garters.html

Really beautiful and would be a lovely thing to pass down to the women in your family.

I had a very nice lacy one, classic Victorian antique style. Definitly not frilly.

It had a bow and a small jewel. I thougght it was very classy. I brought it in John Lewis.

    Hi Cheryl

Hitchers get a 10% discount from me (just ask for the code). The garters I make are usually of the non-fluffy kind! You don't have to have my standard designs though. You can let me know your design ideas/colours and I'll make your garter for you.

Am I the only one who thinks her thighs may look terrible in a garter? I haven't tried on stockings or garters since I lost weight, but before then my thighs tried to engulf any elesticated band I put around my leg!!!!!

My thighs don't look like they would be much kinder to these things now either...

Gosh if I sold my garters at libertyinlove prices I'd be a rich lady.

My prices go from £7.99 and I make plain to extra fancy. You can have as much or as little sparkle as you want on any of the garters I make. All colours available, not just blue and they can also be personalised with the new surname of the bride.

I am happy to make gaters to your own size and design... just contact me for prices...

If I have similar fabrics, lace & trimmings in stock - prices should start from £15. If I need to buy special materials, this could alter the price.

But, even cheaper than that.... our free French Cotton Lace garter on Facebook!
