Garters!

2013_Bride_, 9 June, 2013 at 14:32 Posted on Planning 0 12

Thought I'd tick something off the 'to-do list' today - and thats ordering my garter!

I've been looking for ages but for some reason keep being overly picky with them.

So inspire me, where have you got yours from? Flashes welcome! Smiley smile

I've not got one yet, and don't think I'll have time to get one now.

I've got my mums! It's 42 years old, blue and borrowed! My parents are still married so I'm hoping it'll give me luck for a long marriage too!

    I got mine from Ebay

Paid £5 and had my married name stitched in and the date - all in blue!

Hubby loved it - thought it was great! x

I borrowed my mum's who had been given it by her best friend (they've just had their ruby wedding anniversary and are still goin) she'd been given it by her mum and they were married 62 years. The only thing was,I was so worried it was so delicate that I decided to leave it to the last minute to put on, then remembered it was in my mums handbag when someone asked for a garter shot.

Well mine...when i buy it will be more for the Hubby at the time.

He's into his pheasant shooting so... I have managed to find one with a hip flask holder Smiley laugh. I will then buy a hip flask and have ingraved with our wedding day and a nice message or something...I thought it would be a nice/funny suprise Smiley smile.

Plus when the bar closes i still have something to drink Smiley winking

I can't decide whether to get one.

I'm not sure if OH will even see it, I invision us falling asleep as soon as we get back to our room!

It might be funny to get one with Mrs H on it, take a pic and send to him on the morning though.

Got mine on Etsy, ordered it yesterday Smiley smile

Wanted a personalised one, want OH's surname to be a big deal (it's taken us months to work out what to do) but got a garter I loved and then have got shoe stickers saying Mrs [his surname] instead. Tacky, but he'll love it on the day!!
