On a watch forum i frequent the americans are all clamouring to buy products from UK authorised dealers, a total turnaround from 6-8 months ago. its utterly depressing

Is there a chance this could push us into the Euro? I don't really understand how these things work but MrSC has been making doom noises about being forced into have the Euro as our currency. Is there a chance he could be right?

Whats your prediction on the amount of time that things will take to get better? I bet it will be another 12-18 months

    3 years plus i think.

sc, yes, there is a very high chance of that happening, which right now would be a HUGE mistake imo.

Yep, us too. We'll be buying most of our stuff in the UK from now on. It was even cheaper to buy Christmas presents in the UK, so most of those have been done too and posted to my Mum. Very, very sad state of affairs.

I've heard more 4-5 years. Possibly more for houses to get back to their all time high

It's very sad. I was in NYC when the £ was at it's strongest and everywhere felt like a half price sale!

I have to admit it's marvellous for us (in a short term way). I'm hoping things will continue thus until late February then suddenly get much much better ?

Would it be a mistake at any time or do you think given the right climate we should do it?
