Gee, it really IS quiet in here now....

It's been like this for ages, even though there's been quite a few weddings recently (don't want to put names in in case I forget one ?)

I've not been on for a couple of weeks, but it has really slowed down. Think it was when the servers when all wrong, and the thread by Darren which got peoples backs up a bit. Quite a lot of people have migrated over to the 'other site' for OT, that's quite fast paced most of the time!

Damn i hate missing weddings! Lurgys just yucky, at the constant blowing nose stage, hes got the sore throat too...... i have to go back to work tomorrow so i'll just have to dope myself up!

i joined the other site but the wedding planning side is just as quiet eh..... ah well... hope ur both well?

Yeah, its really strange how quiet it is in here these days. I've also been over to the other forum but it anything, it seems quieter!!!!!

It did get very quite at one point, the posts barely moved all week! Its was bad! But there have been a lot of people off on honeymoons etc. I think its started to pick up again though now! ...Fingers crossed it has anyways!

Sorry to hear about the lurgy, those beechams flu pills taken with a bottle of lucozade will have you flying through the day!! ...Not sure its particually safe of healthy but it works!

I found paracetamol with sudafed much better than the combined cold/flu tablets. Also a Karvol plug in thing helped with the stuffy nose.

Just a word of advice on the sudafed, don't do what I did... which was accidently double up the dose and then have a glass of wine (was at work xmas party at the time).....don't think I've ever felt so tipsy so quickly!

It is depressing how quiet it is here, and so typical - it happens when my planning is just starting to pick up and get interesting! ☹️ OT is even worse though if possible - it's actually like a morgue, but I suppose that's because of the 'other place.'

The speed and connection of the site is much better for me though so I wish it was busier. There are still a few of us regulars about but not as many, and quite a few I can think of who I haven't 'seen' for ages. We need more Hitchers!

I also signed up for the other site but WP is non-existent there too, like Teehee said. Where are we all?!

Sudafed always sorts me out (the max strength ones...), can you plan 'quiet lessons' so you don't feel like the living dead by the time you have to drive home? Or is that wishful thinking??!!

I haven't bothered with the other site at all and this is much quicker for me now than it used to be but I wish there was a bit more going on!! There are a few people who seem to have left us/ aren't posting as much but hopefully that will get better soon.....

It is soooo quiet. I've been flitting between here and OT and I think that's worse than here! I know some people have moved on to the other site but that can't explain it all surely?

It has been pretty quiet but I'm hopeful it'll pick up tonight when Don't Tell the Bride is on! ?

Quiet lessons dont exist in a drama class - and that includes a mime class as its usually me doing all the talking, lolol.

I sometimes wish I didint have a job where I had to talk so much! I have to sort out my lessons for tomorrow but the jobs going okay, the schools are all lovely and differ from rural to city...... the driving tires me out though. Plus being a Mrs is still taking a while to get used to! One boy cant pronounce my surname so has taken to calling me Mrs Marvel. Yup, just add the 'lous' to the end of that, thank you!

It is very quiet here - I think its partly from all the server problems and also when I think of the people who post here a lot, I think most have been and got married and now don't come here often - Laura_Lee, Ashmegdj, Kelly29 to name a few off the top of my head - not seen them for ages. Come to think of it I haven't seen Ooh la la or Delicious Witchchild about for a while either.

There are quite a few newbies about though which is positive. It's just sad to think that by time I get married, most of the people I have planned alongside will be gone and no longer about to see my photos and read my report ☹️

We are as settled as we will ever be for now. We have been eyeing up furniture on ebay. I'm desperate for surfaces to put my knick-knacks on, the ornamental stuff, the photoframes, we got no shelves, nothing! Last night I changed my ebay details and my paypal account stuff so cant be buying anything for a while till its all gone through.

I'm still lurking, but IMO (and it may not be the same for all old marrieds) when you're no longer planning yourself there's only so many times you can reply to a "What music are you walking down the aisle to?" thread. No offence intended, but when you've been WPing for a while and you're no longer caught up in the excitement of planning your own it can all get a bit repetitive as newbies join and start asking the same old questions!

I do appreciate that I have a duty to help as an OM though, so I do still lurk and post when I think I can be of help, but I don't tend to be on here just to chat. BT was starting to get a bit intense for me (as the months have gone by and I'm still not pregnant) and just as I drifted over to OT everybody else left.

Hello strangers....

been away for a while (not that anyone noticed) moving house. We have no officially moved in after a little drama and chaos, the usual.

got the web up and running - but still tuns to do in the house and surrounded by boxes so I'll be a little quiet on the wedding / hitched front in the next couple of weeks - the quicker we get this house sorted, the earlier I can go back to planning! and hopefully by then the house move wouldn't have left us with a tiny budget for a Burger king wedding (shudder.....)

Oh hey Tango - I missed you!!!!!! I always look out for you cos you get married just before me.

Glad the house moving went well - I've still got some boxes and I moved into my flat nearly 4 years ago!!!!!

well at work now so must keep it short - my regular hitching sessions are cut by OH who insists on looking for washing machines and household stuff - very rude!. Also my move added an hour's commute so have to now get up at 5am! boo.

BUT - so so happy there, a 'real' house. Sure we're sitting on a pink (!) carpet which we can't afford to replace and there are boxes everywhere - but its an absolutely fantastic feeling! even the cat likes it (I've been giving him some homeopathic drops to make him feel secure and chilled - it works a treat!!)
