I'm pretty sure no one will notice. My dress is a champagne-ivory type colour, all the linens and invitations and everything are white. No one will notice and if they do then they're mad. As Ed Byrne says its hardly going to be a case of 'her shoes don't match his tie, f*** it i'm off!'

Sorry, but this post was in vain! I am now wearing the original dress! I was just about to meet my mum to go and pay for the second one yesterday afternoon and my MIL persuaded me to pick up my original dress from the seamstress and try it on for her - she said I must have chosen it for a reason and she trusted my judgment (which I thought was nice) So I put on the dress in her front room with my mum (I had only tried it on in the seamstress workshop amidst rolls of fabric and I never really had the room to spread it all out. My main concern was not the style of the dress but that the alterations it had, made it look at bit bodged (In my mind) Anyway - dress on my mum called MIL in to the room who said it was beautiful and burst in to tears - she siad I would never get another dress that suited me so well blah blah blah - outcome - I'm keeping the original

I've had a sweetheart neckline put in - you can't see the back on this and all the ones of me in it are on my BM Phone but the back is lovely with lots of detail and a long train.

It's taken a few months but finally fallen back in love with my dress! As my mum said to me last night I'd never hang myself as I wouldn't be able to decide which rope to use!!
