Getting married on a budget in Essex! Help!

SunnyPurpleHair729, 16 April, 2017 at 21:01 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi everyone!

I am getting married in Crondon Park, Ingatestone next year! I am really excited but the more I look at wedding stuff, the more daunted I am with how expensive everything is! I am looking for good reasonably priced recommendations on the following please:

-Hair and Makeup Artist

-Photographer

-Invitations

-Evening DJ

Thank you in advance for your recommendations! Hoping to keep the wedding as cheap as possible!

Thanks

Rachel

    Hi :-)

I'm not from Essex so cant actually help with recommendations, but I just wanted to suggest checking out local wedding fairs, find out if your venue has preferred suppliers and check out local businesses on facebook to see if you can get good deals that way.

Check out vistaprint for invites - ours were a bargain

Have you got any local colleges etc you could tap into for photography students?

    Good luck! x

Congratulations for next year! Hope you're having fun planning - come the day it's over before you know it, so slow down and enjoy every moment! Whilst I can't give you recommendations outfight, I wrote an article on wedding photography on a budget which might help. It's a few years old, but I think it should still be helpful as a guide. Head over to my wedding photography budget guide for a read and I hope it helps with your budgeting!

Like others, I can't exactly help you with Esex but when it comes to things like invitations, maybe you could get your craft on and make some yourself. It takes a lot of time but maybe there's a workshop or something close by you could have a look at.

Can I just congratulate you on your forthcoming wedding, I too am getting married next year and jeez I'm excited!

Anyway i I have a couple of recommendations for you firstly the Photographer- we have gone with an amazing guy called Tom Halliday he can be found on Facebook and through google. He ain't the cheapest but we wanted quality photographs, we got a discount by tailoring a package to our needs.

Seconfsly we went with pianodj for our DJ in the eve, again not the cheapest but very well recommended and again I got a small discount because he isn't the resident DJ at our venue, we then got a great deal on a pianist too!

As fo fo a hairdresser I use a lady called Fiona Donovan she works in a top London swim and is a L'Oréal colourist and also teaches across the county for them. She is kind and more than anything ultimately professional, I am happy to pass on her number to you.

    Xxx
