    Nats,

Calm down and d-stress first of all. You will have the day of all days on Saturday and be amazing, do not be disgusted with yourself, these things happen. Whenever i get stressed my weight balloons wether i eat more or not (although mostly when Im stressed i eat rubbish!).

If i need to shift a pound or two quickly i drink at least 2 full 2 litre bottles of water during the day, and without being disgusting eat weetabix first thing in the morning (gets your ahem bowels moving earlier in the day). Must admit you end up in the toilet for most of the day, constantly weeing but by the next day i have normally dropped 1.5 to 2.5 pounds. I only do this on perhaps a thursday and friday if i need to wear something tight on the saturday night.

Hope this helps - and good luck for Saturday (i am 3 weeks behind you).

    Sx?

Do you do any exercise? If you do definatley do a few sessions in the gym (or whatever it is you normally do). If not go for a few brisk walks. Will make you feel better about yourself and help reduce the bolating.

I'd also try cutting down on the stodgy carbs, I've found not having any bread or potatoes at lunch has really helped me, I eat loads of fruit and something like a healthy soup or salad instead.

my advice would be to cut out potatoes and wheat. follow a bit of a GI diet thing. also drink pleanty of water. I havent particularly tried to do a quick fix diet before, but in my long term diet experience cutting out these things usually helps. Of course you still need carbs, im not advocating cutting carbs at all, just rethinking them. try wholemeal bread instead of white, brown pasta instead of white etc etc. pots with skins is better than mashed etc etc. im not a fan i have to admit of all things brown, but in my experience it does work.

also, just wanted to say that im sure you look fab, and are just having a few wedding day/dress flutters. the bride is ALWAYS beautiful!! dont stress too much, you will look georgous!

    Thanks folks!

I had a major panic and stress last night as a couple of bits that I bought earlier in the year for my honeymoon are now a little on the tight side. When I bought them I had lost a stone for the wedding!

I feel really stressed too. The wedding is Saturday, I start a new job the morning after I get back from honeymoon, one of my best friends has just been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. To top it off I have had the worst cold this weekend and have a bright red nose!!!

I feel really bloated and yucky so water it is... and plenty of sald, fruit and veg between now and the big day!

In my opinion, and from my own experience, the only way to shift short term bloat is cut the carbs - completely

Eat vegetables, salad, chicken and fish - and nothing else until d-day

    You'll feel a million times better ;-)

You could try some water retention tablets - make you p*ss like a race horse but they shift a good inch off me when I take them!

I just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

My tip as well as the water is peppermint tea. It's good for bloating.

    Best of luck!
