    Speak to the Marquee company. The actual Marquee should be waterproof, and you won't have any problems there.

    I think the main issue will be a muddy path to the Marquee in the field, unless there is a proper path, it will get muddy if it's been raining before you arrive.

    See what they can offer, they should have some kind of treading for this - but it may be at extra cost.

    If they really can't help, then get lots of shoe protectors/overshoes;

    Not as nice ... but could keep your guests from getting too muddy and they can take them off when they arrive.

    Hay!!! get a lot of it from a local riding stables or farm and put it down on the ground on the bit that the guests will be walking on.

    No weather forecast is ever 100% guaranteed accurate so you may - hopefully - be panicking over nothing.

    We met with our photographer last week and discussed the weather issue for photographs, and came up with a 'perfect weather plan', 'dodging the showers plan' and 'chucking it down so no hope of outdoors' plan. Have you discussed this with your photographer?

    Incidently our 'chucking it down plan' was assembled whilst the four of us huddled under a tree in a hailstorm...

    The 5 day forecast is totally unreliable. My SIL got married 3 weeks ago, right up until the wedding day it rained and rain was forecast for the day. On the day it drizzled for half an hour in the morning then the sun came out... so much so we were all squinting in the photos.

    Try not to worry about it. A few years ago, I went to OH's cousin's wedding in the July. It poured so much that the marquee flooded in the morning and the male family members spent the morning chucking water out of the marquee! The bridesmaids had kicked mud up the back of their baby pink dresses and my cream shoes got ruined. Do you know what - it was still one of the best weddings I've ever been to.

    The weather is the only thing you can't control - so don't panic, just have a contingency plan.

    If you can arrange with the marquee company to get some kind of path laid down where people will be walking on grass you should be fine. Guests will bring their own brollies, just make sure a friend has a spare golf umbrella for you.

    (Many TOGs hate bright sunshine because of the lighting issues and people squinting so don't worry!)
