Getting paid to take surveys?

auldlangsyne, 5 April, 2009 at 19:29 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 16

I'm looking to make a wee bit of extra cash. I've joined a couple of companies as a mystry shopper, and i know a few hitchers do that aready, but does anyone know of any reputable companies who pay to test items or do surveys? I'm not even sure if that's a real thing or just an internet scam.

I do loads that you get points for the surveys and can cash out when you get a certain amount. The ones that take least time are probably global test market and toluna there are loads more though that I have had vouchers for amazon from or cheques

As long as they dont ask you to pay to join they are usually ok, there is a big thread on mse with loads on.

I do quite a few too. The first year I didn't really earn much but over the last 12 months I've earnt well over £200 in cash, £75 Amazon vouchers and £12 Boots vouchers. On top of that I've been able to keep the items I test - air fresheners, mascara, moisturisers, cleaning materials, all sorts really. Last week I was sent a tube of KY jelly to test ?

Ciao, Greenfield (same company), Toluna, Lightspeed, YouGov, Harris interactive, and Consumer jury.

Mr Nora has just reminded me that I had another payout of £85 last month that I didn't add into my post above so it comes to quite a bit for something so easy.

If anyone wants to be referred let me know. I earn a pound (I think) for each referral.

I use Lightspeed and, although I do them rarely as I don't have a lot of time to do them, I've still made £28 so far this year.

Oh yes, I do Global opinions too. There are loads aren't there.

I got well and truly robbed by Juicy Brains. Was you ever with them? When they closed, they never gave me the £12 (big money I know but it took bloody ages to earn that ?) in my account. How rude.

No referral for boots, they dont pay you if you do the home testing, I think they pay if you do the testing in nottingham at their head quarters though. Its https://www.bootsvolunteers.com/

Thanks Zoe. I'll have a look.

    I've done research for Indiefield

Got flown to Berlin, one night's accommodation, all meals and a city tour, then 4 hours looking at prototype vehicles - and paid £150!

Thats fab smint. I'm registered with them too but the only invitations I've had are to a hotel in Brum for an hour and an incentive of £40. Its not really worth the hassle.

I do GFK and IPSOS as well as some of the others mentioned. I think it was from Ipsos that I received £50 in vouchers last week rather unexpectedly!

    Yay!
