Unusual or Interesting Fact about wedding - As H2B is Scottish, hoping to have a celeidh band at a West Mids wedding ?

Wedding date :17 march 2012, venue: beautiful manor in Scotland, engaged: 16 June 2010, colour scheme: red Rose ( and possibly thinking about adding emerald green, as we're getting married on st Patricks day give it a celtic feel), my job: HR, oh career: information security manager for a big investment bank. I don't have anything particularly interesting to say about myself, don't have any unusual hobbies or habits !

Ooh thanks, good to get feedback! I got such a good feeling there, but had some worries about the DJ they sort out, there's no info! Did your friend find it all went smoothly?

Yip everything was perfect, the owners do such an amazing job there, not one hitch at all, and her photos are fantastic, i looked to get wed there myself but when my friend picked it i decided to go elsewhere

Yeah i met Mick his wife and his daughter, they seem great and you can tell that they focus on YOUR wedding...iykwim?

The DJ is Mick himself, well that who we are having he's £100 and just thought why not as he does it almost every other week and has a good rec, i guess. We are having a wedding singer too so didn't want to pay alot for a dj too.

Ooh exciting, I know exactly what you mean, they seem completely calm and just want to please you in any way. It was like nothing is too much trouble for them.

I can't wait to see how your plans progress. It seems an amazing place, we aren't going back til April to have another look round but as soon as I saw it I just knew! Can't wait to have another look around, it was so beautiful when we saw it.

We are having one of their other DJs, OH was tempted by the relatively (to others) low £225 price. We are not having a band but I am hoping for a pianist or violinist for the welcome drinks if we can find the money ?

No, not Rowton although we did look round there.. It wasn't Castley enough for me, more like a hotel (Nothing wrong with that but I specifically wanted a Castle) so went for Whittington. I live near Ellesmere although grew up in Whitchurch. Ahh I know Albrighton Hall - Went past it earlier actually when we went for a Starbucks in Shrewsbury ?
