Getting used to it

EmmaRose33, 22 January, 2012 at 17:54 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

I am settling in.. whilst I should be doing revision. I have 2 exams next week and I need to clean the flat in prep for my dad coming over for a wedding meeting.

So far I have deduced that you use the term 'flash' to warn people you're showing off images related to your wedding. It means something very different on the other forums I frequent. They're not dodgy forums, but we do get a bit silly when we're all drunk.

I read something in the rules about not writing words that look similar to swear words to try and get around the no swearing rule/filter. This is taking me some getting used to because I'm used to being able to do that and it's totally accepted. Do I really have to be careful about that one?

I am trying not to say 'DF' when reffering to my fiancé, h2b feels really unnatural to write!

I have chosen a colour scheme from a website that gives mood board type inspiration but I am not sure I am allowed to post a link on the wedding planning forum - is it frowned upon to link other wedding websites?

DF 'darling fiancé'... which I accept is a bit gushy, and I refused to use it at first, but everyone else of the site was so I do now.

It's a popular parenting website. We have an opinions board which gets a lot of traffic and I'm a few other boards.

S'not Bounty or WYOO on BabyCentre, is it?

I tend to call him H or Barbie, depending which forum I'm on and whether I'm chatting to people who don't think I'm a freak for calling him Barbie.
