    So far my h2b has:

    A celtic pocket watch

    Golf bag cufflinks

    A celtic tie pin

    Groom socks

    Groom boxer shorts

A book called "How to be a Husband"

A groom golf ball set with tees

    A bar of chocolate

    A miniature Jack Daniels

And my boudoir pictures on a canvas

I may have gone a little overboard!!!

I believe that my H2B is looking at getting me a personalised number plate for my car (all his family have them and I'm the odd one out at the moment)

I've no idea what I could get for him though as he's really difficult to buy for. At the moment am thinking of something a bit more sentimental such as a little book containing all the reasons that I love him.

We don't get married for another 18 months so I've hopefully got a bit more time to think about it!

Just a bottle of aftershave I think. I did want to get an engraved watch but I don't think I can afford it!

I bought him a brick! It's got our names and the wedding date on it, and go on the wall of his football team's stadium.

It was, like you, a last minute thing so even though they sent me through a certificate immediately it's as shame I'd not done it a few months before as they only install them every 8-10 weeks (presumably when they have a few to do) and MF and his best man were excited to go and look for it immediately!

I also got him a lottery ticket on the day (won nothing!) and a pair of boxers to wear under his kilt as he doesn't like being a true Scotsman (he did on the day - more of that in my wedding report ?)

I also put him in a sample of aftershave. He doesn't wear it but it's the new Dior one and is gorgeous, so I'm trying to encourage him to start wearing it. He forgot to put it on though before he left (likely story!) and why I didn't splash out on the full size bottle!

We have decided to buy each other a rally car weekend, that we can do together after the wedding. we dont really need anything and most sentimental things end up in a drawer or something so decided to get something we can do together

I am making OH a gift box with the following:

Cufflinks - so he knows to keep it buttoned up

A mini clock - so he is on time

Groom socks - so he doesn't get cold feet

Mini JD - for dutch courage

Chewing gum - for a fresh first kiss

I am also giving his usher money to pick up a McDonald's breakfast in the morning before he goes around to him - so bad but we do love a Maccy D breakfast!

I've got a box that I am slowly filling with the following - some won't be ready til much nearer the time:

a boudoir album - can't wait for this one.

my Groom's Journal from Oh So Cherished - am loving putting this together,

A pair of white towelling socks as a nod to the fact that you can take the boy out of Essex but you can't take Essex out of the boy.

A can of Red Bull - don't want him flagging at the end of the night ?

A packet of hob nobs....its a bit of a standing joke.

I've made a wedding morning playlist and put it on an ipod.

a "Little book of Don'ts for husbands"

and such silly things like that.......

I will present him with it as we say goodbye the night before, with strict instructions not to open it until the following morning....but I'll bet he can't resist an early peek!!
