Gift for Groom

Sazzle24, 10 October, 2014 at 15:13 Posted on Planning 0 8

Help! We are getting married in 5 weeks and I've no idea what to get him!

i ideally want to budget £100-175 for one thing and then I'm planning on spending a bit more on some small things like cologne, and other small items.

can anyone suggest any ideas. Anything at all! Thanks

I've done the Groom's Journal from Oh So Cherished. Not expensive, but really personal.

I've also done a CD from MixPixie of songs for him to play while he is getting ready - they're fab as you can really personalise the cover etc.

Obvious things are watches, cufflinks, etc that can be kept. You could also do a photobook of pics from the years leading up to the wedding....sort of "the story so far".

I've made my OH a boudoir photo book to open the night before and on the morning I was going to do a little box with a few things in and a letter. Maybe a miniture, socks, nice chocolate xx

    Hi Kimiu,

The grooms journal looks fantastic. Would you be prepared to share some of the other prompts that are in it? I am already in the process of making a scrap book of our lives together that I have been adding to each year and re-giving fiance on his birthday and would prefer to keep continuing with this but love the idea of the different prompts to write special messages.

    Thanks in advance Smiley smile

This is an old thread that is where I first got the idea for doing my journal. On Page 2, someone put their list of headings.

I think, too, that if you do a forum search for "grooms journal" you will get some other ideas.

Also, put grooms journal on pinterest, and you will more than likely get loads of suggested headings.

    Good luck, and enjoy!!!

I'm a little stumped as he has a watch he loves and wouldnt want another, and any little bits he'd say 'why are you getting me bits'. I love the idea of a grooms journal, i made a book of memories/'us' for our one year anniversary yonks ago, but i'm afraid we've become a bit cynical and boring so wouldn't have the same effect as back then!

The idea i will be doing for definate is a box of dates for the next year which i saw from another thread. Love that one, and your budget will then be spread across the year so no need to spend it all now

I'm not spending a lot. I'm having a wooden plaque made with some of the lyrics from our entrance song. It's costing £15. Like this, but with my choice of words:
