Gift for partner

mannis, 28 July, 2008 at 14:36 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hi Everyone

I need some female advise....again

I have arranged the honeymoon which is a surprise for my B2B and I was going to make a little broucher of where we're going and what I've booked as my gift for her on the morning of the wedding.

Do you think I should get her something else aswell?

What have you got your H2B?

I'm normally quite romantic bloke, I allways buy her flowers, sometimes run hot baths with a mug of hot chocolate so don't want it to seem below par.

I think it's a lovely gift as it is, perfect for the morning of the wedding.

How about taking it a bit further and getting her the Lonely Planet and some local currency and maybe a couple of little jokey gifts like 'Just Married flip flops' or something to take away on the honeymoon?

    ?

I got a little book from Virgin about the continent we're off to was going to include that.

The flip flops sound great but she doesn't like the bit between the toes are there sandal type ones??

I think it's a lovely idea! Following Hepburn's theme - you can also get Mr & Mrs/Bride & Groom Luggage tags which might be quite cute. I saw some in Next & here - /gifts/bride-and-groom-luggage-tags.htm?

You can also get eye masks, beach towels etc

I've got us matching t shirts for the morning after the wedding - a bit cheesy but it will amuse him! Mine says Mrs. [new name] and his says 'under new management']

Pure treats is the way forward though!

You could get a passport cover for the passport in the new name too...

Would you like the whole honeymoon package theme?

or do you think I should get her something else

What are you guys getting your groom? and what would you like in return?

I like the 'honeymoon theme' - I don't think you should get something different as it with detract away from the holiday you have booked.

Think h2b might be getting me jewellery, but he has also booked the destination of the honeymoon as a surprise.

I'm struggling a bit with gift idea too! I'm hoping that the card I sent to his favourite football team will come back signed so I can give him that along with a personalised football book (he's a HUGE Man U fan!). Other than that I was thinking of buying him some really nice cufflinks to wear on the day - he's already bought some for the wedding but I'm being a bit bridezilla-ish and they don't really go with his outfit (they're quite casual Ben Sherman ones) but it's one of the only decisions he's actually made for the wedding so I didn't want to tell him not to buy them! I figure this way he'll wear nice ones for the wedding and still have the ones he picked to wear afterwards!

As for a gift for me I don't think it'll even cross his mind so I'm not counting on it!

    Ali :o)

I have bought him some cufflinks and bits and bobs but also got a personalised poem made for him to include in his parcel. Something a little different

Might be a bit cheesy, but you could make a cd of some song that mean something to you both for her to listen to on the wedding morning. On the other hand that might reduce ehr to tears!1
