Gift needed for my (eccentric) shoe making friend

DrBuffles, 31 July, 2014 at 12:19 Posted on Planning 0 7

As most of you know a friend of mine is making my shoes for the wedding. She is being completely amazing about it, has given up lots of time to do it and is just generally pandering to my obsessive, indecisive and perfectionist ways, and for that I am incredibly grateful. She won't let me pay anything towards them and has said they are a wedding present but I still want to get her a gift to say thanks.

We met at uni while working for a shoe shop and hit it off despite our tastes being very different - she is into weird, quirky things. She loves vintage things and generally bits and bobs that are a bit odd! She has some bits of taxidermy and a vintage shop mannequin in her house for example! I'm so stuck on what to get her because we are so different.

She has a Italian greyhound/whippet mix that she dotes over, and loves making things with leather. She likes jewellery and has a history degree and is really into the wars of the roses era history.

Can anyone help? I was thinking around £50 but could stretch to £70 for the right thing.
