Gifts for BMs

Aquiescence*, 21 March, 2015 at 18:26 Posted on Planning 0 8

So I feel like we have had some threads on this recently but I am still feeling lost so any suggestions would be welcome!

After weeks of searching for a piece of jewellery for my 2 BMs I have decided against it - I wouldn't want to get them something they would only wear on the day as then it isn't really a gift for them - and their styles are so different that getting something that would work for them afterwards isn't going to work for the wedding. So what to get? I thought of a nice photo frame that we could put a photo of us from the day in, but then still felt this wasn't a gift for them as such.

I would like something that they can keep. Any thoughts? What are you doing?

(Also haven't got the groom a gift!)

How about a mini box of personal things for each of them, with different things in, that's personal to them. Like, jewellry that they dont have to wear on the day, vouchers for a fun day out dependant on what they like. Mini bottle of alcohol, dependant on what they like. A pack of tissues ( incase they get teary) a mini bridesmaids book of what to do on the day. A personalised mug/glass/shot glass. And you could write a mini note of what each mini gift means ? Also, same applys to grooms gift!

I got mine jewellery and photo frames.

Not something to keep, but a voucher for a massage/facial/spa treatment?

Found all these on amazon. Dont forget the gifts dont need to match if they are very different personalities:

I love the idea of a spa day!

we have a lot of Brides ask us for bridesmaids bracelets, they can wear them on the day but they're so unique an personalised they can wear it forever hopefully!

    Xx

I'm getting mine a cast iron fondue set each...... their styles are so different I didn't want to go down the jewellery path, so I followed my first love of cheese! Plus it reminds me of the skiing holidays in the Alps together

Am not big into giving jewellery really, I recieved a necklace when I was bridesmaid and a braclet another time and haven't worn either.

Am buying my bridesmaid's all matching dressing gown's. Seen mint ones in Asda for under £10 and going to buy iron on transfer to put names on the back. So that can be used on the day and as a personalised present.

I also buying hand painted personalised wine glasses for 4 of my older bridesmaids. There tons of etsy and a couple on ebay. If you shopped around you probably find a bit cheaper on went on facebook. I'd imagine you'd find something like this in a local craft market or something as well.

Ones from ebay that bit pricey but gorgeous (love these)

Cheaper but still nice from ebay if your on a budget.

Also you can get one's with just names on them for a couple quid as well. Just think they cute and funny and also usable.

For the groom am buying him a nice watch (he wants one) probably a michael kors one and having it inscribed with something nice and you can leave a little note inside the box saying see you at --am/pm, whatever time your getting married.

Struggling for groommen and also best man, they all getting cufflinks with superheros on them, nice for a photo. So someone wearing iron man cufflinks, someone wearing superman etc. Probably get them a little bottle of whiskey or favourite drink with a engraved hipflask.
