Gifts for newly weds

SunnyBlueStationery810, 11 May, 2017 at 11:37 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 6

My sister is getting married and I want to get her a small present but something a bit different. Whenever I see her she is always drinking a cup of coffee or tea so I was thinking of getting her a personalised coaster. I was going to put a picture of myself with her when we were young printed onto a set of 4 so she will always see us together and brings a smile to her face.

What do you all think?

That sounds good. I've done that for my mum with pictures of my daughter.

Every time she lifts that cup... a nice reminder. I think it's a great idea!

    Hey,

It's worth having a look at Vera Wang's Wedgewood Collection (available in John Lewis), she has a love knots range which is just gorgeous and makes a lovely gift - they do frames, glasses, candle holders etc.

I wanted to get something different for my sister on her wedding day so I purchased a pair of silver candle stick holders with the love knot detail on the front - beautifully packaged and a good price!

    Hope it helps! J x

Our dear friends gave us a large sum of cash to put towards a wedding gift.
They explicitly stated that they wanted us to buy a piece of artwork with it and to take our time in choosing something.
In that instance, it was the most practical thing for them to do and I didn't feel so bad about accepting money because there is a specific purpose to it. But each to their own.

My lovely friend who was also one of our witness' made us up a lovely hamper full of wonderful goodies for us to take on our honeymoon, full of scented candles, expensive chocolates, mini bottles of different wine, special pillows http://jonsguide.org/best-top-cooling-pillow-reviews/ , bath roses, body shop cream all sorts!! even some treats for our doggy (who came with us)!! It was just full of lots of luxurious items that everyone should have on their honeymoon and the fact that so much thought and effort went into it made it so special to us.
