Hello Again Hitchers,

I Haven't posted for ages - We're almost there I think, 6 weeks to go! Smiley smile Cant wait.

One thing we are unsure of is what to give our parents we are thinking flowers for mums - is that enough or do we need to get something else? No idea's at all for our Dad's.

What did you/ will you do?

TIA

I think we're doing flowers for the mum's and a bottle of something for the dad's. Whiskey or some other.

I'm thinking of getting them a really nice frame with an IOU in the middle for a wedding photo.

We're going for a joint pressie- a photo frame engraved with the date of the wedding. They can choose an official photo after the wedding and we'll get it printed for them. My Mum is having a Journal and my Dad is having an embroided hanky (bit of a memory from when I was small that he always had a cotton hanky). My Mum and Dad have been brilliant in the planning hence them getting the little something extra. OH's parents will just be getting the frame.

I'm going to get something nice from notonthehighstreet.com. I'm thinking an engraved silver wine bottle cuff for my Dad and maybe a nice engraved bracelet for my Mum and OH's sister (who is standing in as Mother of the Groom since his parents are no longer with us).

We were lucky as both sets of parents are still together so we bought nice big double picture frames. In one side I put a reconditioned copy of their wedding picture and left the other side empty for one of ours.

My Dad got an expensive watch, I watched it for 10 months on Amazon until they had a watch sale day (he would have gone mental if I paid full price and he would have found out!) It was reduced from £240 to £40. I heard later from my mum that he likes it even more when he found out it was a bargain! bless him! he is such a bargain hunter!

We're doing flowers for the mums and then also getting them a nice photo frame with an IOU your favourite wedding photo which we'll get printed for them!

I've not got my dad in my life, my little brother is giving me away but no idea what to get him!

We've got OH's dad a vintage bottle of port in a nice wooden presentation box!

My step mum - I've adopted an elephant for her (they are her favourite)

My Dad - A photo frame, one side will be a picture of us when I was a baby and a space for a picture from the wedding

    His parents....no idea.

Future parent's in law - they have said they will pay for our honeymoon so we are going to give them a "voucher" for a meal out to say thank you - a kind of "we owe you one meal" rather than an actual voucher. We may give it them when we book honeymoon and not at the wedding (we are going next year rather than after the wedding) Also don't want to make a big thing of presents because . . .

My mother - nothing. But then she has done nothing (well nothing positive anyway - she's driven me bonkers) & not paid for anything so I am not sure what I would be thanking her for to be honest

Love the idea of adopting an elephant

Hello everyone! I'm new in this forum. My name is Sophia. The reason to register here is because
I need to find unique gift for my parents. Next month they celebrate 25th wedding anniversary and I want to surprise them. They have everything and that's why I can't decide what I have to buy. I'm looking for something special and unique. I've been searching and reading from around week and I couldn't find nothing. I'm writing here because this is my last hope to find some gift idea. Any suggestions?
