Gifts for the Grooms Party - Ideas Needed

laura2107, 11 February, 2011 at 14:05 Posted on Planning 0 6

I am struggling to know what to buy as gifts for the grooms party...do any of you lovely ladies have any good ideas?

The ages of our groomsmen varies and I would like a 'something fits all' but something they will all like and possible keep.

Any ideas you can give me?

TIA xxx

I've gone with cufflinks, some personalised and engraved, some to fit in with their hobbies:

My dad, OHS dad and BM have:

White my brother and stepdad have:

Cost me between £5 and £6 each

Well we discussed this quite a lot and we both felt that if we got them the traditional cufflinks or socks with the grooms party jobs on they'd more than likely never wear them again (although I do think they're lovely ideas!) so we've decided that we're going to take the bridesmaid and ushers for a curry when we're back from honeymoon to thank them that way instead. We know they'd all much rather appreciate a good night out and it'll only cost us max about £20 per head but that it'd be a lovely way for us to continue the wedding celebrations with them too.

I'm getting them all moonpig cards though for them to open on the morning of the wedding thanking them for being part of our day. So that'll be a nice token to give them all!

Thats such a lovely idea! I wish all our BMs and Ushers lived near each other so we could do this! Also to carry on the wedding celebrations just a little bit longer... ?

That is definitely a nice idea! I find some stuff can look either a bit OTT, Tacky or just something that would end up being a waste of money! I just dont want to buy something that will cost us money and will then end up sat in the back of a cupboard....This idea is great! and as we wont have our honeymoon for a while yet, this is the perfect way to carry on the celebrations

Thanks Girlies for all your help Smiley smile

    xx

We went for cufflinks, working on the principle that neither H2B nor Best Man already have a pair and they're going to need some for the shirts that go with the suit hire! At the end of the day they're just a little token of our appreciation and I think all of them will appreciate the gesture whether they wear them again or not!

Ah, tactical gifts, I like it ? falls in line with the idea of giving bridesmaids jewellery to wear on the day! My OH has decided he's paying for him and his BM to go watch Rangers v Celtic at the first available opportunity after the wedding, apparently they've wanted to do it since they were kids. It's gonna cost a fortune lol and here I am scrabbling round on eBay trying to find the right charms at a low price to make my BMs a personalised bracelet each ?

We're only not getting the men cufflinks because they already wear them every day for work etc and will have loads of pairs

I have no idea what to give my brother and BIL2B - they're our ushers and will probably end up with some kind of silly but appropriate to them gift rather than anything commemorative
