I just thought BT was a bit more for when you are up the duff and after the babies arrive. I am still getting my head round YYC and symptom spotting etc.

Did anyone else think this was going to literally be about girls wanting babies and your thoughts and feelings about it?

Yep! I suspect if there was a column showing views to responses it'd be higher than normal!

Hi Panj, I am on BabyCentre, it's very good and their "Actively Trying" group has posts every few minutes. One word of advice, do not obsess over it. I went on out of curiousity and become quickly obsessed. I think it's best to "not avoid" for a bit, unless you are the kind of person who doesn't stress easily. I do stress easily and it caused me misery.

Not like that now though, for some reason am more chilled (even though I have been TTC for nearly 2 years ☹️??). I wish I had never discovered the sites, I reckon I would have been happier last year if so. I wish someone had told me not to go on there.

Now I am in the position that I am in, I find the site a place of comfort and support ?

If you do join, PM me and I can make friends with you there.

You have been warned though ?

But it's scary... they have their own language and everything over there that makes no sense to me. I wonder, when the time comes, whether there are any baby related forums specifically for guys?

AJ I agree with you on not being down with the lingo, the abbreviations can be very offputting for newbies I guess its like anything though the more time you spend on the forum the more you will get used to the language! Are you trying to tell us something AJ? ?

I felt a bit like that when I first came on here though but you soon get used to it although they do seem to use millions more abbreviations in baby making!

No, definitely not, sorry. But I'm sure I'll mention it after we've told our families, in due course, when (and if) the time comes.

Just curious about it all though as, of course, it's naturally the next step to think about for us now that we are married; in due course we would like to start a family of our own.

BT here is wuuuuuunderful. Very lovely ladies - and AJ, the lingo doesn't take too long to get to grips with, plus there is a very handy Wiki link at the top of the page which explans all the acronyms.

I also use Bounty (but more for debates because all the fluff in the Due In forums makes my eyes bleed; usename KenLeeeee) and Baby Centre (same username there as here). My favourite thing about Baby Centre is their iPhone app!

I searched on Android but couldn't find an app.

I have MyDays on my phone which gives an indication about fertile times, ovulation dates etc.

Does it show up as fertility friend on your phone though? I like the ideas of "my days" as the name doesn't mean anything to do with baby making.

I think the app may be iPhone only. I didn't realise it was the same Baby Center (it has the American spelling on the app) until I was nosing through it and found the "community" bit, then realised it was the same forum!

    I'm a member on BC.

Also a member on Netmums but I don't go on there often.

I used to be a member of PregnancyForum.org.uk but I flounced because it was cliquey and there were idiots on there.

I can't cope with NetHuns. Too fluffy. I rather like Mumsnet although am too scared to post. The AIBU forum is hilarious though!
