Make sure you know each other's date of birth!!! My mate went to give notice and totally forgot her OH's DOB and said she felt like a right plonker!!! Also remember to take you passport and a bank statement/utility bill for each of you. Good luck! x

    I gave notice today!

Pretty straight forward! (Except for their computer system went down during ours)

Take 2 proofs of address and Passport (ideally) to prove name nationality etc.

It was really informal 'interviewed' together then individually at which time just asked to confirm each others name, date of birth, parents name and occupation.

Don't stress there is nothing to it.

Aw don't be nervous, it's absolutely fine Smiley smile!!

I was also asked my other halfs job title and how long he had lived at his current address! Nothing to try and catch me out so you'll be absolutely fine!

We went in together when we arrived and were then spoken to one at a time. It was over in about 20 minutes x

If you've been doing all the planning make sure your other half knows the date and time of your wedding as it was the 1st question they asked mine and he didnt have a clue!!!!!

we will get swatting up tonight, lol.

I will dig out the proofs and stuff, thank you for reminding me.

Another good point, tell him where and the time of the wedding as it is me whos booked everything Smiley laugh

Congrats on giving your notice today, I just hope they dont talk him out of it tomorrow! ?

That's about it I say the term 'interview' very loosely as it didn't feel that way more like an informal chat.

What kind of ceremony are you having? Church of England, civil, roman catholic etc?

You're alright then. Church of England ceremonies don't require you to give notice as this is done within the church in the form of the banns being read.

No, with a catholic church you may have to still give notice. Your priest will be able to advise. Smiley smile
