Glasgow Brides...booking registrar

Maybe different Glasgow districts.....East Renfrewshire/South Lanarkshire etc? Maybe some districts have different policies? Are you approaching the same one your friend used? xx

Hmm that's odd! Only other thing I can think of....other than you caught the phone lady on a bad day!....is that maybe their policy has changed?

I booked my registrar in March for my December wedding in East Renfrewshire and paid the deposit at the time. I then gave notice last month (that must be done no earlier than 3 months before the date and not less than 15 days before the wedding. Maybe the woman on the phone got mixed up between booking and giving notice.

I'm a Glasgow bride too and getting married in June Where are you getting married and what date? So nosey haha.
I've heard a few people say the same thing about the registrars, not sure myself as we're having a church wedding but maybe they've changed their policies since your friend was wed?

We're getting married on Friday 29/8/14 at St. Joseph's in Clarkston then onto the Carnbooth House Hotel....you? xx

I have spoken to a few people including my wedding co-ordinator and I think the women has got mixed up with what I am asking so I am going to call again next week.

We are getting married on the 15th June at The Lynnhurst in Johnstone

Oh, I've heard its nice in there! I work in the RAH so a few of the other nurses have been there before xx

Ooh the carnbooth house hotel is beautiful! I've never been in it but saw the outside and pics of inside, looks lovely!
We're 14/6/14, married at St Roberts in Glasgow then Pollok House for reception. Seems to be going in so quickly and I suddenly feel unorganised haha!

Yeah we have stayed over at the hotel before and eaten in it and both were great experiences.

I booked a registrar for March although fee was paid for booking rest of money is due 3 months prior to civil partnership as paperwork cannot be submitted until then.
