Going to book a venue

Curly Panda, 2 December, 2009 at 15:40 Posted on Planning 0 4

Well hopefully anyway! has anyone used or been to the events room at TGS in Hereford for any party/reception etc? im going to have a look at it on monday (it looks lovely online) so fingers crossed.

and with reference to my earlier post about unwanted guests (namely my brother in law's girlfriend) i have had an epiphany (sp?) mainly for H2B's sake i've decided that if my sister in law brings a guest to the evening reception then i will let her come (as he did nothing but sulk at our engagement party). will i be able to throw her out though if she upsets me or anyother of my guests???

Hope you like the venue - not heard of it myself but hopefully someone else has...

With regards to the throwing out of guests, I did see it done at a wedding I went to recently! Some '+1' guests were being childish and did some pathetic things (like drawing on table clothes) and they were politely told to leave for upsetting the bride!

Not sure on your exact circumstances but I would probably pre warn best man / ushers if you think this person is likely to cause a scene so they can intervene before you have to?

I would have some people on stand by, pre warned just incase she starts anything and then it can be nipped in the bud straight away, and if someone was spoiling my day I would have no hesitation in asking them to leave.

I think though as there is nothing you can do about it at the moment, try and stop thinking about it, probably easier said than done but dont let it get to you while your planning, this is your bit and she shouldnt spoil this for you too by you being worried. Does that make sence?
