Going to see venue, is there anything I need to ask?

mummymrs2b, 17 January, 2012 at 21:28 Posted on Planning 0 6

I'm going to see the venue set up, it's going to be set up for a golden wedding anniversary but they have said it will be the same as it would be set for a wedding. Wanting to look what the included candelabras look like to see if I like them and if so then to see what there like to see what I need to get to go with them. Is there anything else I could do to be checking whilst I'm there? What did you go and check at your venue before your big day so I can see if I may need to? X

Sorry to hijack your post a little but how often before the wedding do people expect to meet with their venue? I've got 7 months left and they're a little useless at sorting some bits out and wondered what other people's experiences were.

OP, I would ask about parking, accessibility, catering, if they limit various styles of decoration, if theres anything you need to tell your other suppliers.

Our first meeting is four months before hand to discuss menus, timings and how we want the rooms setting on the day. Then I think we have a final meeting three weeks before hand to discuss table plans.
