Gok Wan slimming knickers....

I've not tried them myself, but there was a post on here about them where women were saying they weren't a patch on the original Spanx pants.

I know you can try them on in my local debenhams - could be an option for you?

I'd def second that. I think I've tried them all, Rrinny + Susannah, M+S, Gok Wan but nothing compare to Spanx. They stay in position and even have a discreet gusset that lets you wee without having to take them down, top winner for me!!

Mrs hfa- the little gusset so you can have a wee- is that on all of them? i am wanting something to bring my tummy and hips in- but am worried if i get the short kinda ones that i wont be able to go to the loo in my dress and that

I love Gok so I bought a pair and I wasnt that impressed to be honest. I ordered the next size up to what I am and they were still to tight. They just gave me a bulge at the top of them-not making me look slimmer at all. I would try the spanx if I were you. Don't waste money on the Gok ones. The bra was OK but again not impressed for the money I paid xx

Spanx all the way - none of the others are a patch on them, as far as I'm concerned.

They are 20% off on the JL website today as well as they are price matching the Debenhams sale.

Do they actually make you look that much slimmer or are they more about smoothing out your silhouette and giving you no VPL ?

I haven't tried this brand. I was considering wearing spanx for my wedding but after going for out for meals on several occassions wearing M&S control pants I have suffered with pains due to not allowing my stomach to expand due to the control panel so endedup having to go home in pain, so won't risk wearing them on my big day, that would be awful! Might consider spanx if they are a bit more flexible.

I used spanx at a wedding in September last year having given birth 5 weeks before! You could not see my tummy at all, it was amazing! I tried the Gok Wan and Debenhams own but they didn't really do much. Spanx are brilliant for holding in and smoothing out bulges. Hoping I won't have to wear them with my wedding dress but that's diet and gym dependant for the next 6 weeks!!!!

Definitely go for the Spanx. As someone mentioned previously they're the only ones with the opening gusset so you can go to the loo. They are not easy to get on and off so when you're busting for the loo you really don't want to have that to deal with.

Hi,i had marks control pants and they hurt like hell. Complete convert to Spanx. I have these ones,they work and don't hurt.
