Good / Bad

Chicken, 2 September, 2008 at 09:56 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 71

Good:

I'm spending Christmas in Australia with my big brother and his family. Courtesy (that word looks odd - is it right?) of my dad. I love my dad. I'm also off to Amsterdam next month with an internet weirdo.

Bad:

I haven't run for ages and I'm now back in a 12. I got off the train at Oxford Circus to buy some boots from TS and they didn't have my size. Made me late for work. Summer is done. My good stuff seem aaaaaaaaaaages away.

Oo, you're going to Oz now, that's fab news.

Good: we're on hols in a couple of weeks and I have money in the bank

Bad: money won't last me the month and I have to work a full week before the hols. I have slipped off the dieting wagon and my weight is coming back on rapidly. I don't have any decent black shoes so am wearing brown ones with black trousers [gasp]

The boychild is back home <yaaay> and as lippy as ever <boooo> ?

I have my cooking mojo back and am back on the 'elfy eating bandwagon.

    Bad:

My back is vay vay bad and I am eating painkillers for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but am frit of the injections.

    The weather.

The fact that Chookles is going to be missing in action for God knows how long over Christmas <sob>

I can't believe the boychild is only just back home ? he's been gone years! Does he have a beard now?

Good: It's our second anniversary today and we're off for dinner this evening in the hotel we stayed our first night as Dr & Dr LG.?

I've got a smart pair of new trousers from gap maternity for £4.99 that have had 3 compliments so far this morning

Some music scores I've been waiting for for ages have arrived into the shop

Bad: Mr LG was v unromantic this morning, went to get up and I said Come back to bed, he said No it's getting up time so when I gave him his anniversary card he was in a bit of a rush. He didn't get me a card ?

I bit the side of my tongue a few days ago and have now got a big ulcer ? and can't talk properly ?

Bloody great news at Oz, Chick!! I'm really pleased for you.

    Good:

I'm off to Vegas on Friday for the weekend and the weather is supposed to be in the 40's!! I think I've finally convinced H that I NEED that pair of Alexander McQeen shoes.

    Bad:

I've got to walk all the way down to Picadilly to a cobblers and it's raining cats and dogs out there. My kitchen isn't being fitted for another week. The MIL is trying to come stay with us again!

Good: I'm not hungover any more.

MrPod is finally off this weekend. The 1st one since we got back from hols.

Bad: My mobile is dead. Squished under my car. RIP poor mobile

    Bad
My SIL is in a very bad way mental health wise.
My MIL has to stay with us for 3 weeks to sort out SIL.
    Work has gone silly-busy.

    Good
Said MIL has had a windfall which she is sharing with H - despite us telling her to keep it for herself.
I might have a part in a film.
I'm going to Stratford on Friday for a lovely weekend with H and to see the divine Mr Tennant in action.

    Good

I have been extended another 3 months in my temp job - which means I'll qualify for the Christmas bonus (if there is one!)

After what seems like all year spent planning our wedding then our village street fayre, my evenings and weekends are completely mine again to do with what I will!

I have a free seven day gym trial at quite a new gym with a pool

Think I'm off to cinema tonight

    Bad

I weighed myself yesterday to find myself the heaviest I have ever been ?

My gym has closed without warning (though I didn't lose any money myself)

The trial gym is miles out of my way and there will be awful roadworks to contend with on the route

We've got Christmas 2009 book away in a quaint little cottage

    We're hoping for another baby

    Bad

My mum needs an operation on her shoulder and is being messed about and is in lots of pain

My sister is poorly in terms of mental health and won't seek help ? That's the first time I've told anyone

I am going to NYC tomorrow! Hurrah! And I knocked a minute from my 5 mile running time last night and my legs feel fine. My sister is having her baybeh hopefully this month - roll on Aunty Winkle.

    Bad

I am still fatter than I was and can't get into my lovely TS skinny jeans. Someone in my family has been poorly and I don't like thinking about the treatment they're going to be having.

    Good:

I'm really trying hard to eat healthy foods and stop drinking alcohol. I'm starting a new exercise regime tonight.
I finished redecorating the kids bedroom last night, for their return tomorrow.

    Bad:

I'm back from holiday and at work. Booooo Hisssss!
I have no money and need new clothes.
The rain, my poor husband is working in the wet, is sodden and already has a cold which means I'm likely to get it soon.

    Bad first....

Someone complete buffoon drove into the back of us yesterday at a junction as we were literally just leaving work. Apparently he thought we were moving, which is ironic as H had his foot on the break (had the same thing happen years ago so super paranoid). Not too badly damaged, can't get the boot open and bumper is hanging off, but as it is a VERY old car H thinks it might be written off so now we might only gte like 50p for it.

    Good....

We are not injured from said accident, so it's really not that bad.

Hugs for all the people with bad especially Katchoo....

It's our 8th wedding anniversary today. Yes, I've made him put up with me for that long. ?

We're going out for a nice meal to celebrate on Sat and my parents are having the toddler for a night!

In a couple of weeks hopefully all the decorating will be done and we'll have a fab new fireplace

    Bad

It's peeing it down. I am heryooge and skinter than a skint thing. And I'm sick of living in a building site with toddler that won't let me do anything...

I am going to have to give birth again soon ?

[hugs] for all that need 'em.

    Good:

    * Our holiday to Spain is all booked, I will have a glorious ten days away and it's cheap as chips because the apartment belongs to SB's mum. It's the longest time I have been away since my, mumble, honeymoon, mumble.

    * I have just booked our hotel for Cardiff as I have tix to see Wales v South Africa in November and I CANNOT wait. My parents also cannot wait as after we will be going up to Cardigan to see them (ha ha SB YOUR turn to meet the parents! ?) Oh and I get to see my boys too, gorgeous little furry faces.

    * I am finally facing up to some demons from the past that have been wreaking merry hell with my emotions, with help from my lovely, lovely friends. I had a horrid weekend coming to terms with things but I feel so much more positive today. I'll get there, I know that I will.

    * SB is so lovely he should be prescribed on the NHS, there aren't enough positive nouns or adjectives to describe him - I truly love my boyfriend

    Bad:

    * I'm not sure where my mobile is (please don't make me have lost it because it's my ninth new handset in a year.... gulp)?

? at Young Hole having a beard. Just wait til you really have a beardy son ? I feel oooooooooooold

    Bad:

    We're skint

I need to get a job and have no idea where to start, or if I'll be well enough

    I have a headache that won't shift

    Good:

    It's the baby's birthday tomorrow

Both my sons are hilarious and really good company, in different ways

The economic downturn means that Mr Layabout gets lots of days off to spend at home with us. Which takes us back to point one, above ?

    - the runts appear to be playing in the immediate vicinity of each other and world war three appears not to have broken out yet.

    - Master A is back at school.

    - MrA finally appears to understand that actually, his mother's eratic visiting hours to our house aren't my immediate concern when planning my weekends.

    Bad

    - stoopid cnuting CSA have agreed with ex that he can repay his maintenance arrears at £9 a week, thus him AGAIN getting to decide how and whe he pays what he owes. Arrears should have been £96 a week as well as maintenance, he still hasn';t returned a DD form, but bcause he made a random debit card payment, they've cancelled the deduction from earning order that was in place. Cnuts.

    - squinty old cnut across road has still not been over to apologise for her mother accosting Master A in street last week. Am keeping beady eye out for old bag so can be all fishwifey in street again.

    - is foul smell coming from at least one of the runts. Bleurgh.

    Good:

MIL is in remission atm from Ovarian Cancer

    I'm not a t work today

The kids are all happily getting along

    I still love Mista J

The house is finally finally getting sorted and I am starting to feel on top of domesticy type things for the first time in a long time.

    Bad:

MIL's remission is not expected to last for long. Prognosis is bad, and I don't have words for how awful this is.

Our holiday to Rhodes is booked - only 6 and a half weeks to go and I can't wait!

I'm off work for the rest of the week and get to Hitch without being distracted

    Bad

Our holiday to Rhodes is with XL and I'm worried it will get cancelled after reading the post about XL being in trouble.

I'm off work with Labyrinthitis and trying really hard to not be sick when I move

I'm supposed to have my driving test on Friday and don't know whether to give it a go or cancel it

I'm trying to sell my current car that I learnt to drive in so I can buy a newer one with my work bonus and no one wants it

I go on holiday in just under 2 weeks and I am so very much looking forward to it.

It has been a year since the ex and I split on Sunday and I feel very good about my life. I didn't think that a year ago I could feel as positive as I do now and that makes me feel pretty damn good.

I truly love my house. Still need some furniture and nice frippery things, but it's mine, all mine and I can do what I like in it.

I've got some great friends - no super friends and I love them all.

    Bad

Sodding ezcema has come back on my hand and it is driving me nuts.

Although I love my house (see above), my plumbing issues are getting silly now. I sort one thing, and something else springs a leak/drips continually, or stops working altogether (delete as appropriate)
