No running at the moment- just the bike and the fizz says I can get on the cross trainer for a bit now. She's suggested trying to run whilst I'm on holiday to see if things are holding up - I'm a little reluctant as I don't want to make things worse but she thinks that the consultant isn't quite right on his diagnosis (see ongoing thread on Fetch this morning for the full story). I guess the marathon place has focussed my mind but I know I need to start training again soon - anything less than 16 weeks is going to be a non starter for me.

Don't know what this post will look like as the formatting doesn't seem to be working for me. Good: I'm off to Berlin tomorrow for two days being paid £150 to look at prototype cars for the UK market - and sightseeing. Enjoying running and cycling. Cleaners started yesterday and it was so nice to come home to a clean house. H is relieved too as I won't be moaning about it! Bad: Boss keeps givng me extra work to do so I can't get on with the work I want/need to do.

I'm on a little bit of a downer today so I'm not going to take part if that's ok because Ill just make myself worse. <pity party>

Sophie, can I help at all with the divorce?

Baron- when I was injured I kept up my fitness (actually, i improved it vastly and went back to running much much stronger) by doing spin classes- could that work for you? As for the promotion, if it's not market conditoin relted it's worth asking the question... otherwise it looks like you're perhaps not really that up for it IYSWIM.

Chook, let us help arrange your birthday night (not so we can gatecrash it, oh no <whistles> ?. what do you fancy doing? how many people, girls night or mixed?

Spamboule, congrats for Saturday, have a lovely day. I am doig a sundance for you at my desk (it's ok, my new trainee has already worked out that I'm barking).

Iris, take advantage of the boy-free time to go out with the girls or do something out of the ordinary.

POD, your baby will be fine, but I know how horrid it is. We thought Zsazsa was maybe going to lose her eye when she went in on Monday, but thank God the ulcer seems to have abated. Your pooch will thank you when his paw is all better. ?

? to everyone who's feeling a bit poo. Without trivialising some people's very real probs, I think these dark mornings have a lot to answer for, and coupled with the general doom and gloom in the news, no wonder people are feeling a bit sad.
