Good:

  • writing my birthday list
  • my boss isn't in today
  • I have just over 2 months til Oz

Bad:

  • I forgot to charge my ipod - tube without tunes is not good
  • Planning my birthday evening. I still don't know what to do so will end up doing nothing much
  • Waking up at 4.15 and not feeling tired until the alarm goes off

Indifferent:

  • People that you couldn't care less about trying to get a rise out of you. Belm

I want to do something different, mixed group, 30ish people. I told people the date yonks ago but I'm sure my lack of plans since will mean there'll be drop outs. I think I'm just going to go for food. Blah.

    Yay, Sunny. It's about time.

We're going for Italian. I quite fancy buying MissSun a really cute halloween outfit - would that be very mean of me??

    Good:

Child one went to preschool without tears and swam properly (rather than whimpered and clung onto the bar for dear life) yesterday

    Child two is asleep

    Bad:

I had to call a rehoming place about Kit this morning as she went for child one without provocation.

    Good

I'm meeting the lovely MrsD for coffee and cake in just over an hour. Yay for hitchers who'll meet me at short notice!

I should be getting my new Motability car at the weekend.

I'm going to Manchester to (what I'm sure will be) a fab exhibition on Saturday.

I'm not going to be a SND for the next two weeks. This week it's dinner at a friend's house and next week is a charity fireworks display (biggest in region too, apparently)

I'm looking into finding a private psychotherapist/psychologist person.

My mum is coming down in just over two weeks then we're driving home before going to Crieff Hydro for five days.

    Bad

I'm not in a particularly good way at moment mentally. I'm getting frustrated with myself quite a lot of the time; last week I had stuff on and longed to be at home but this week I have no plans and I long to be out, even though I know I'm not really up to it. I'm getting nowhere fast on the NHS but will be kicking up a fuss as advised on Monday.

My skin is absolutely hideous, I look like I should be in a teenage dermatologist's waiting room.

I'm not going to be a SND for the next two weeks. ?

I need new clothes but I'm a frumpy size 22. Ugh.

? to anyone who needs one.

    Good:

    • I should get my 1 stone award at slimming world tonight after 5 weeks.
    • I am now in size ** and it feels great (not brave enough to post the real number)
    • I have 13 weeks today to my sooper dooper caribbean cruise
    • I have today off to do nothing
    • We're out tomorrow night for a meal and Cinema - nothing to celebrate, I just fancy it.

    Bad:

    • I have a scabby nose left over from my cold
    • I have a mountain of ironing to do

That's the pits. Too late now, but next time, you need Happinose. For the duration of your cold, slap loads of it on at night and you won't get a scabby, peely nose.

    GOOD

I DID IT!!! After the terrible dissapointment of Edinburgh and 5 months of running at stupid o'clock in the morning, the tears, the frustration and the self doubt. On Sunday I smashed my marathon PB and gave myself a GFA for the London Marathon and acheived my dream of qualifying for the Boston marathon!!

It was also the easiest and most enjoyable marathon I have ever done ?

    BAD

Who cares! Nothing can wipe the stoopid grin off my face.

    Good:

    - Think thyroid meds may finally be kicking in, woo!

    - Going to view a new pub this afternoon...fingers crossed, it will be lovely and will makes lots of money. Hum.

    - Going on holiday on Friday. It's our first week away in two years and I can't wait.

    Bad:

    - I have been having horrible cramps all week and am a bit worried it's the start of IBS

    - Nephew is now asking if he can live with his Dad ☹️ - it must be really bad with his mum to say that. Social Worker span me the usual line.

    - I have to pack! Waaah!

    Thank you!!

3:37:21 It finished in a stadium in front of a grandstand of spectators.....I kind of lost it big time when I saw the time on the clock and screamed/punched the air etc etc like a loon! The finishing pics are hilarious I look like a manic Deirdre Barlow with every tendon in my neck standing out ?

Wow, Wodger that's amazing! I'm delighted for you, thoroughly deserved.

BGB - I feel your pain mate, injuries are crap.

    Bad

My hips are fcuked. I haven't run for weeks, and I can't even run for a bus at the moment without hobbling. My right thigh muscle is also dodgy. I wonder whether I'll ever be able to run without injury and whether I'm ever going to make it to a marathon. I need to be running soon if I have any chance of slowly building up for FLM in April.

Sue to said lack of running, I am feeling fat and flabby and miserable.

I have been getting huge, sore, hard, red, under the skin spots on my chin for a couple of months and it's getting me down. I feel very self-conscious.

I am in statistical analysis hell today. I have been bent over my desk trying to work out standard deviations and coefficients and error measures and confidence intervals. I have given myself painful trapped wind because I have been hunched over for so long.

    Good

I am going to Germany on Friday for a long weekend staying on the Moselle.

I am joining the gym next week and I'm going to make sure that I do everything I can to get strong and prevent running injuries.

I cycled to work this morning and remembered how much nicer than driving it is.

    Bad

I might only have a job till christmas

My LL is driving me nuts and making me miserable

Im only sleeping a bit better due to sleeping tablets, though I do have a referral appointment at a sleep clinic next week - though I think its a snoring related sleep clinic and they wont be able to help me

    Good

    • I am very excited about moving to almost London next Monday
    • Looking forward to a few nights out we have lined up this week and I have a fab new dress I can't wait to wear
    • I am ahead with the packing
    • H is coming home for lunch and bringing me something fine
    • We've found out we might be able to have kids of our own

    Bad

    • I am fed up of packing already
    • Our flat hasn't sold, so we'll have to pay rent and mortgage for a while, eliminating the saving we might have been able to do
    • It will be sad saying goodbye to our friends this weekend
    • I have no shoes to go with my fab new dress and don't have time to go into town again
    • To have that child we've been trying for for two years, it's probably going to mean going private, which will be expensive.

I love my bf, and told him. I KNOW he will now run away, very fast ?

I am very busy at work, didn't get home til 9pm last night and prob won't tonight

    Good:

    • I'm going to see my dogs this evening, who will be covered in kisses and hugs as I haven't seen them for a fortnight
    • It's sunny outside
    • I've managed to fit in a booking with my cosmetic aesthetics specialist so will be looking gawjus(er) as from Nov 7th
    • Gym is going well, and I'm my rest day, which is niiiiice - I have a plan to drop a dress size/or stone by Christmas, one of which hopefully is achievable
    • Am so busy with work and gym that don't have time to obsess about menfolk
    • Bosses are away all this week, so no hassles in the work department

    Bad

    • My flatmate is starting to annoy me with her funny little habits and turns of phrase - perhaps I'm not cut out for sharing. I know, I am unreasonable ?
    • I've worked out my budget for next month and there's not much left for buying winter clothes - and I'm cooooold
    • Social life is pretty much zilch, as gym seems to be taking over my life
    • Someone I had a flingette with in the summer has told me that he's left his wife. Oh dear. (I didn't know he was married at the time, before I get flamed).

    Good:

Beautiful autumn day with gorgeous foliage colours

Small child is asleep and has had nap at reasonable time so hope of evening in peace

First can of properly chilled Coke for as long as I can remember.

    Bad:

Small child has the runs and is off nursery so I've had to take half day holidays off work. Bang goes my Xmas shopping trip!

Just added to my lard issues by scoffing a custard slice

Wodger - well done on the marathon time!

Sophie - Grrrrr, would it not just be easier to hire a hit woman?

Sparkley - I'm sorry about your Nan.

Peaches - I'm sorry about your brother.

Everyone who needs one - hug!

Sorry about your nan too Sparks. How did boyfriend react when you told him? I bet he'll be mulling it over and trying to factor in a right time to tell you the same. I hope so.
