Good week/bad week 4 Dec 15

Good week made a conscious effort to blitz the rest of Xmas and wedding stuff. Lost 3lb in last ten days and hope second dress fitting tomorrow won't be too bad now. Managed to find one shop who has the game grandson wants off Santa and ordered it. Collecting tomorrow.

Great week wedding flowers being delivered later today.

bad week ate way too much shepherds pie at MIL last night. So much for the weight loss.

Oh good luck for the second dress fitting Jayne! I'm sure it'll be fab. Am guessing the wedding flowers are silk or similar?

Good: 3 day weeks from now to Christmas!

Good: All Christmas prezzies bought, wrapped and given to the postie (or Santa depending on who you have more faith in)

Good: Summer is here

Bad: H is struggling again

Good - it's the weekend!

Good - I am seeing my family tomorrow!

Thanks. I think the weight I lost has probably gone back on. We will see tomorrow. Flowers are silk with tiny icy frost particles on the leaves! ! ! Very happy with them.

GOOD - turns out OH has managed to get the full weekend off work

BAD - lost a dear colleague to a sudden death, such a shock

GOOD - meeting with wedding coordinator went very well, must of the details finalised now

BAD- the wind is awful, lots of road closures and powerlines down

GOOD - we currently still have electricity

BAD - gas supply scheduled to be turned off for 8 hours today for repair work so no hot water or heating again

GOOD - my OH bought me chocolate and took me out for food to cheer me up

BAD it's my turn to get up to make the cups of tea lol

Good - youngest want on a school trip to see Santa and didn't cry

Bad - eldest then told youngest that Santa isn't real

Good - successfully transitioned to e-cig pen and have cut fags down to half

Bad - ate my own body weight in jaffa cakes

Good - found an old pair of heels that used to be my favourites in bedroom cupboard

Bad - found cobwebs in the shoes so now daren't wear them in case there are icky spiders or eggs in them.

Rockabird - E-cig is the way forward. Once you crack the last few cigs you'll be fine with it!

Also I didn't notice the cobwebs in my shoes once.....noticed the spider squished to my sock when I took them off though!

Haha! Oh no! I am so irrationally scared of spiders it is ridiculous so if I found a squished one ome sock, I'd be flat out on floor haha!

Good week - it's only a 3 day week as I'm off to Manchester with Mum on Thursday and Friday for my second dress fitting and to bring my dress home.

Bad - I really haven't been as good as I should have been since my last dress fitting, lots of gym but a fair amount of food, and I'm paranoid it won't fit. So I'm nil by mouth until Thursday, and will be until NYE if necessary!

Good - while we're in Manchester, we've got time to visit the Christmas markets.

That's it for now, but the week is young.

Good week: Had a really good meeting about a potential promotion in work yesterday

Bad week: A colleague who I’ve always got on well with, mistook friendly banter as me having a serious “non professional” interest in him – and made two inappropriate passes at me yesterday. Never EVER going back to that office ever again!

Good week: H2B found the above hilarious (not the jealous type at all)

Bad week: I cannot stick to my diet at all and keep making excuses to eat junk and still have another 1.5 stone to lose before meeting my wedding target!

Good week: I’m getting my braces fitted tonight – straight teeth for the wedding – yay!

Bad week: I’m going to feel like a teenager – super self conscious - having braces again

Good week- bridesmaid dresses are all pinned ready for alterations as is my dress. Hubby's suit is done and make up trials went well

bad week- work is stressful! Wanted everything to start coming together ready for my two weeks off but it's slipping backwards boo!

good week- got a nice bonus just in time for Xmas shopping

bad week- went Xmas shopping and came back with barely anything!!

And when I say barely anything I mean barely any presents which is worse than barely any money as I have one free day to finish it now before Xmas ?

Good - Work's been quiet which has been little stress.

Bad - I'm going to another office for 2 days and have to stay over (3.5 hours drive away)

Good - Didn't get fired/pay cut

Bad - My car has starting making concerning noises and the warning light has come on permanently now.

Good - May be getting my wedding shoes on Friday, as I'm not needed for a chunk in the middle of the day and I've been told of a good shopping centre.

Bad - Took me 50 mins to get to my mums this morning, usually takes 7 mins, and I can walk it in 40, due to road works/temp traffic lights, gas works - you name it.

Good - Got a ps4 game of Family game night, so a night playing Trivial Pursuit or Boggle

Oh nooo I thought you had bought lots of people excursions in Lapland for their Xmas presents. (She says while smiling smugly because she's now done). Lol.

If you have ideas I can start to track things down for you next week if that helps?

It's the non lapland go-ers I'm struggling with ? I felt confident thinking yea only 3 people left to buy for but they are the hardest and are immediate family! Guess who is going Xmas shopping Saturday after a works night out?! I best not have a hangover! Lol

That sounds so much fun - I love things like that! Going to have to try and find a PS 3 version...

One word of warning, we're platinum trophy whores, and the fgn4 was a struggle because the games aren't as good, but 3 was really good fun, but there is 1 trophy that is nigh on impossible to get. So if you play only for fun and not for trophies all good ?

Do you have any ibuprophen or bonjela/clove oil? If no, get OH to get you a sympathy care package.

Good week for me. Think I've about done everything for wedding and Christmas so I can start to relax now.

had my false nails on today.

Visiting family up north tomorrow to deliver all Christmas presents.

received my first couple of wedding cards and some friends want to take us out for an indian meal next week.

Dress all altered and back home and flowers have arrived and took my breath away.

Possibly bad - the girl who did my nails wasn't well so I hope she hadn't breathed her germs all over me!

Good: Day in the pj's

Bad: I have the flu.

Good: think we've done all the present shopping, now onto the food.

Bad: Wine friday's cancelled, so it'll become lemonade/coke friday.

Good: I'm not allowed to do any housework or cooking (because I am fragile apparently)

Bad: I think the cat has lost a mouse behind the washing machine. So I have to wait for him to come home, pull out the machine, and play find the animal.

Good week. Everything going to plan and less than 3 weeks to the wedding. Lovely meal with friends last night and it was a wedding present so they picked up the tab. Received two other wedding presents this week even tho I specified none so were a lovely surprise. Hoping to food shop this afternoon and freeze a lot of the Xmas food.

Only bad bit Xmas gift for daughters boyfriend still not arrived and may need a last minute alternative!

Good Week: finally used to the braces

Bad week: Work and life in general has been chaotic - feel like I've had no time with H2B at all.

Good Week: IT'S CHRISTMAS A WEEK TODAY!!!!

Good: I've finished work for Christmas!

Bad: I didn't get all my work done before finishing for Christmas

Good: We have some close friends coming to stay with us at the weekend and we're looking forward to that

Bad: we're both ill!

Bad - I've still got three days of work before I break up for Christmas.

Good - Going for a Christmas meal tonight with friends.

Bad - Still a bit hungover from H's Christmas party at the weekend

Good - 4 more sleeps!

Good / bad - Waiting to find out of H's mum will be out of hospital before Christmas but should find out today.

Glad you're on the mend. Did you find the mouse lol.

Nope, didn't find the mouse, pulled the kitchen and the lounge apart (she doesn't like to kill them ?) no mouse, so just assumed she thought she had one, then Saturday morning we find that silver slug trails in the lounge, so she obviously brought in a slug and we cannot find it! Pulled the sofa and sideboard apart, and nothing, what's even weirder the trail starts and ends in the same place. Big circle in the middle, that's it.

Ohh ?

Eurgh - hate slugs!! My cats aren't too bad luckily but there has been the odd occasion where we've found a "present" in the living room....
