Some Hitchers are really going through some horrible things at the moment, and some of the posts (especially the get it off your chest thread) have moved me to tears. In general the news is full of dreadful stories, such as what is going on in Mumbai.

So, can we have a happy post? Does anyone have anything good happening? Is there any light at the end of the tunnel?

I'll start -

I've just heard from my friend who was near Mumbai. Thankfully she is now safe and sound in Chennai.
It's my birthday today, and Mr K has presented me with a beautiful card which he has hand drawn.
Mr K is cooking me a surprise dinner tonight. I know it involves lobster as I spied one residing in the fridge earlier.
I had a lovely dinner with a new friend and his boyfriend last night and I think we're going to become very good friends.
I've passed the first round for entry into LAMDA (rather prestigious acting school) to do a BA hons.
Work is being less rubbish at the moment.

Few days ago I had a nice time. I was floating on cloud nine being selected in my college tennis team.

    I was overwhelmed.

    Mine are:

Its friday, so not only do I have 2 days off I also get to see Dr shoes (who is sat in an interview as I type - good luck vibes please!!)

Its pay day and for once I actually have cash in the bank (though not for long as I have just bought my mums and Dr shoes christmas presents so will need to pay off my credit card), though as I get paid weekly it also probably wont last

I got Coldplay tickets - was gutted I missed them last time round (went online to get some about 10.30 and they had all sold out - so made sure I was online at 9.15 refreshing the screen this time)

My foot is hurting less today (though that might be a bad thing as I was going to the doc tonight about it...)

Thanks for starting this thread, what a lovely idea. I'm thankful for:

    A fantastic boyfriend.

A beautiful sister who has been through a lot and is doing really well now.

A roof over my head and a job.

Christmas is coming and I love Christmas so much!

    • Despite all of my whinging and complaining on the other thread, I plucked up the courage to weigh myself and have lost 8lbs since I last weighed myself (about three weeks ago) Thanks to bgb, I also hope to enjoy a more varied diet from now on.

    • My H is enjoying his new job and getting on well with his work colleagues. It is also funny to watch him come home drunk
    • I managed to get Bill Bailey tickets, so we have that to look forward to
    • We are also possibly going to Oliver starring Rowan Atkinson in the New Year
    • I am loving living down here
    • I had a dentist appointment on Monday and didn't need anything done and was told that I have beautiful teeth

Ahh, these are nice to read!

    Mine are...

    1) Going to stay at my mum's tomorrow and it will be great to see all my family.

    2) I bought jeans a size smaller than normal the other day and now they are actually falling down. Huzzah!

    3) Going to see Apocalyptica next Friday with H, which should be fabulous.

    4) I have salt and vigenar Discos!
