Stazzle

Got our invitation proofs! (pics inside..)

Stazzle, 18 May, 2009 at 21:52 Posted on Planning 0 20

Yay, I can finally flash something other than my venue and planning pics ?

Some of you might remember me posting about getting our invitations done for free, as my cousin's gf's firm have offered to do them, amazingly! Well she's off on maternity leave in 9 days now and might not be back till next April, so we've decided to sort our invitations now while she's still at work and can sort it all out for us. Well, we had a couple of PDF proofs last week and made a few tweaks, and we now have our printed proofs....what do you lot think? :

From the front:

Inside (not very clear, sorry):

From the back:

They look massive here but are only standard A5, landscape obviously. They are also on a shimmery-effect card which is gorgeous, but that isn't very visible in the pics, they don't do it justice!

We are now just umming and aahing about where to put the RSVP details, and whether to include a seperate card for them, and we'll also need to think about how to seal the front (thought of ribbon but think it might look OTT with the pattern, so may look into split pins, velcro fasteners or something maybe inside the & sign - but something quite subtle and not tacky hopefully!) so if anyone has ideas on that it would be much appreciated!

Hope you all like them - not bad for free though I thought ?

They are great! I really really like them.

Not sure how to seal them, I used ribbon on my (much less classier!) gatefold cards, but agree it'd be a bit too OTT with the pattern too.

I'd put the RSVP detail on the invitation too, even if just the date to RSVP by as the RSVP card could ge lost easily after they have opened them (I'm speaking from personal experience here!)

They're gorgeous! Really lovely & so nice that you get plenty of time to enjoy them before you give them away!

I don't think you need anything for the front to fasten them - but thats just my opinion ?

Thanks everyone!! Yay, I got Hitched approval *punches air* ?

Sarah-Kay, I agree - I was saying that to OH, I do think we should put RSVP details on the invite itself, I'm sure we could squeeze it in somewhere, maybe even on one of the sides.

BonnieLass - thanks, I hadn't even thought of the not-sealing option! Probably could get away with it actually if we couldn't find anything! hmmm....that's something to ponder...

They are really really lovely stazzle! And free is my favourite price! I think if you put the RSVP on one side you might need to put something on the other side just to even up the 'look' of it. But they are fab!

They are so classy, I love them. I agree with what someone else said, I wouldn't fasten them. I think they look great as they are, they look like a £4 an invite type print job, well done you and your cousins GF. x

Thanks everyone! Glad you all approve.

Think we have decided to include the RSVP details on the invitations themselves, we're wondering whether we might be able to fit them on the back somewhere. There is obviously space inside the invites themselves but, as Bluewater said, it would look a little uneven if there was text on one side and not the other. Once we figure that out we can go ahead and get them printed I think ?
