Bit of background first. My dad is very very shy and hates any sort of attention that is focused on him. TBH I think hes more nervous about walking down the aisle than me.
When H2B and I announced we were getting married one of the first things my dad said to my mum was "I'm not doing a speech." Well of course mum went mad and told him it was one of the few things I'd ever ask him to do for me and he WILL be making a speech and blah blah blah. Then one of his work mates suggested recording it and if he did freak out and get too nervous he could just play the recording, which sounded like a good option but a bit i just felt it wouldn't have the same effect.
Cue super daughters brilliant idea. I had been watching Tom Fletcher's (the dude from mcfly) wedding speech on youtube (for the 10 thousandth time and crying at it yet again) and noticed the screens behind him with pictures and words and thought it was brill. My computer whizz brothers could help him put together pictures and words to music to create a father of the bride video rather than speech!!! My mum would probably be involved as well so it would really be from my whole family. Best man could introduce it so that my poor dad doesn't even have to get up. We'd play it all onto a projector for everyone to see and knowing how my brothers work it would be beautiful, touching and probably try to embarrass the hell out of my lol.
What do you all think?
