That story tickled me pink - I do love the hills round Tod (and Yay for them getting it in the right county!!)

    Oh dear ?

If I believed my SatNav, there would be no such place as Gloucestershire - or at least not the bit that Zebra lives in ? twice it's sent me on a fool's errand to Bourton-on-the-Water

I didn't get why he didn't look at the road and decide that it was getting a bit narrow and probably wasn't suitable for driving on!

There was an episode of the Office (US version) where Michael Scott (David Brent character) did the same thing - he drove into a lake because he believed the sat nav knew what it was doing.

I will admit that driving once using someone else's Sat Nav I very nearly went through a red light, simply because the voice said "proceed straight" and I was thinking about something else, so I just wanted to follow her command.

I think the devices are more dangerous than people think. Perhaps it is the efforts of a more superior race to rid the earth of the pesky humans...?

    Loving this reply,

"Not sure if I'm missing some kind of obvious subliminal humor here but "Todmorden" is composed of the two German words:

    "Tod" which translates to "Death"

    and

"Morden" which is the infinitive verb form of "to murder".

Thank god it's not April 1st yet or I would feel like a fool for even pointing this out."

They've obviously been there! (even Hugh Fernly-Whitting-wotsit could only find death related allotment-eers there!)

And HFW couldn't pronounce it, which drove me insane! If I always listened to my sat nav I'd still be driving round and round a roundabout in Burnley when it couldn't cope with a closed slip road ?

MrKJX said if I didn't stop shouting at the TV, he'd turn it over!
