I can't quite believe it but after nine long years at uni and countless knock-backs I've just been offered an amazing job at Oxford uni. I haven't been out of work for long really but it was starting to feel like I was never going to get anything. I finished my PhD in April this year and had a short contract from June to September but haven't been working since. I'm looking forward to moving to Oxford though I'll be sad to leave Edinburgh. Will have to have an Oxford Hitched meet once I'm there though!
No real point to this but I just had to share. I haven't posted about it much but I was becoming very depressed after getting rejection after rejection and I think I'd have gone crazy without Hitched to keep me going and to put things into perspective ?
