Groom and ushers wearing no ties

This is my 2nd and his 3rd wedding and we said no ties, waistcoats and no jackets for the ushers and a suit for him, will this work ???? Any advice welcome

    I actually really like the idea of no ties, much more relaxed and informal. The only very slight concern i would have is people not being able to distinguish them from other guests, but if that doesn't bother you (and i'm not sure it would bother me once the ceremony was over) then i say go for iit!! The wedding is about what you both want and if this suits you and your personalitys then fab!! x

    It's a non problem to me. Keeping it relaxed is fine.

    Thank you they will be wearing buttonholes as well and its his 2 sons and my son so the family should know them and after the afternoon tead party it willjust be one big party celebrations.

    A non-problem for me too. My H2B won't be wearing a tie as he hates them so I certainly won't be expecting anybody else to. Everyone knows ours is a small, relaxed ceremony so although we've not specifically said 'no ties' I'm confident that most have got the message. Even if they haven't, it won't bother us and they can always take it off if they'd feel more comfortable.

    My Hubby wore trousers, shirt waistcoat and an open bow tie - him in a full suit would have made him look like a penguin and feel uncomfortable.... plus, he'd look nothing like the man i chose to marry!
