I was planning to get mine a watch but I don't think the budget will stretch to a decent one, so I'm just gonna get him some new aftershave to wear on the day. Dunno what type yet though!

Mine said we shouldn’t bother ;’( I don’t know why though because he knows I always will. Last Valentines we agreed not to, but I couldn’t help myself and bought him as tee shirt (it was £5 in the sale!!) with a smiley faced man on (his family know his as Smiler) and a card. I didn’t get anything, I didn’t expect to, but he felt bad because I didn’t follow “the rule”. Which has happened several times before then also. He knows he’ll get something.

Anyway back to your question………………… I am not a fan of “token” gifts. I’d rather get him something useful or something that is slightly token but that he’s use (ie a hip flask saying “happy wedding day…. you might need this!” in fact that’s a good idea =)

I've got mine cufflinks shaped like little golf bags, groom socks, groom pants, a pocket watch, a tie pin and a canvas of photos from my boudoir shoot. I still want to get him some aftershave but haven't decided which one yet!

I bought this from oh so cherished - going to need a few good hours to sit and think first though...

    https://ohsocherished.co.uk/product/1031/296/my_gorgeous_groom_journal

And a card too - wish I had seen the card above before though - I prefer that one!

Wanted to buy him a watch but budget cant stretch that far. will have to have a think...x

I've got the Oh So Cherished groom's journal too and am happily working my way through the various pages of it (in draft, will transfer everything in my bestest handwriting in due course)

Plus, a playlist of songs that are "us" for when he is getting married.

    My boudoir shoot photos

Some aftershave with corresponding shower gel.

White towelling socks as a nod to the fact I'm proud to be marrying an Essex Man.....!

a little book of "things a husband should do" or something similar - from the same people I bought the groom's journal from

and other bits and bobs as I think of them or find them - chocolate hob nobs, that sort of thing....

I've got a "My Gorgeous Groom" box to put it all in - a shoebox sized box from Oh So Cherished, and as I see things I just buy them and put them in said box in my cupboard at work. By the time we get married, I will have forgotten half the bits and pieces I bought so it will be a bit like Christmas!!!

I know he would love a Tag watch...however I nearly had a heart attack when I seen how much they cost so having to re-think that one! X

For anyone wanting to buy a watch, or other jewelry type things (cufflinks etc),......remember you can use your Tesco Clubcard points at Goldsmiths. So for every £10 of clubcard points you have, you get £30 off at Goldsmiths.

So, that makes your watch a third of the price, and in reality, it almost feels "free" because you don't see clubcard points as cold hard cash!

I bought OH a watch he'd had his eye on after we'd got engaged. Total cost to me £9.....

You can't use them against sale items, but you don't have to have the full amount of the item price, so even if you only have a few £££ of points, it can go towards whatever you buy.

Every little helps, as they say.....

Hi Kimiu! I noticed you are giving your OH some Boudoir Shoot Photos. Do you mind me asking where you got them? I have been researching a few places and think I may have settled on one but would love a second opinion!

Inked Doll - I got that card too! It's great isn't it?! I got others from their range for best man and bridesmaids too.

I got the boy a bottle of nice whisky, and some Paul Smith socks (so he doesn't get cold feet!), and some peanut butter themed sweets (his fave).

And plus, he gets me for the rest of his life - that's gift enough. Smiley smile Ha ha!

I loved the idea of that journal, so I just did a bit of googling and got one for a really reasonable price from Amazon.

I will be giving him an album of my boudoir shoots. I have seen a nice leather bound journal onlin, which over the next couple of year I will be filling with reasons why I love him, the little things he says that make me laugh, and just general soppy letters. Hopefully if I have enough money, I will be buying him a pocketwatch to wear on the day to finish off his steampunk style suit :-) I know he really wants one!

Sorry about typos, still half asleep and using my phone lol!

I've literally just wandered past pocket watches! They don't have to be expensive, for example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Armel%C2%AE-Steampunk-Pocket-Pendant-Number/dp/B00BIXNAGY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1406364395&sr=8-3&keywords=pocket+watch

Wow, i thought the gift of me for the rest of his life was enough! I clearly need to think again. However, I am slightly in two minds as my oh is not exactly the greatest gift giver....i have to choose exactly what i want for xmas and birthdays, which make me feel guilty when i see the price of some things i would like lol. However, I am one of these people who believe a gift should have at least a good thought behind it, regardless of the price. How do i slip this in conversation with him to get him thinking of what to go me Smiley tongue

I know that my fella would never think of gifts and cards on the day, but that doesn't matter. For a start, he bought me a beautiful ring!

I had an idea.... but it relies on him not buying it himself! Saying that hes hinted at wanting it but its "too dear for a one off" and that was 7 months ago he first mentioned it.... its a Japenese Whiksy thats £42 in Sainsburys. If he hasnt had a bottle by the wedding i'll do that with an engraved hip flask Smiley smile
