Grooms Cake

Noodle2Be, 15 May, 2011 at 21:04 Posted on Planning 0 5

Is anyone having one? My H2B loves music and messing around on his decks, so I was thinking of getting him one which is shapped like his decks. What do you think? Our other cake is a 3 tier heart shaped cake, with white chocolate, so very girly! We're also having a cutting cake, which is what I thought could be used for his one.

I just said to the boy:

"Did you know some people have a groom's cake? I think the bride buys it sometimes as a surprise, isn't that nice?"

    Boy: "Really?"

Me: "Yep. I think Prince William had one."

Boy: "Wait....a groom's CAPE? What, that I'd have to wear? When did Prince William put his on? I must've missed that."

Ahhhhh, I am actually tempted to buy some sort of cape now and insist it's tradition.

Im gettin OH one. it will have me in his local teams shirt, OH in man united & will also have my dog on it.

Im having it presented to OH at top table after we cut our official cake (4 tier round with BM coloured ribbon around each tier & swarovski crytals initials on the top) because I dont want it to take away from our main cake.

The hotel is under strict instructions to keep this 8" chocolate away from the rest - it is not to be cut - instead we will enjoy it the following nite after a family chinese!
